2009 Driver Review Schedule

With NASCAR 2009 in the books, it’s time to take a look back at how all the sport’s Sprint Cup drivers fared this season. For the fourth year, we’ve brought back our popular Report Card Series to give some detailed insight into the years of everyone from four-time champ Jimmie Johnson all the way down to part-time success stories Bill Elliott and Regan Smith. Along the way, we’ll show that statistics don’t always tell the whole story; sometimes, a driver who gets an “A” did the best with the equipment he had underneath him, while a driver who finished 15th in points gets a “D” because he had both the resources and the wherewithal to finish inside the top 5.

So before the teams head off to Daytona, take a little time to browse through our archives and take a look at where we think your driver stands. And if you disagree (or couldn’t agree more), feel free to vote in our polls and join our growing community to let us know what you think! After all, there’s no better way to wait out the start of the 2010 Daytona 500 than by doing it with a group of loyal fans just like you!

Editor’s Note : The Frontstretch writer reviewing each driver is listed in parentheses after their name.
