Wednesday November 12, 2008

2008 Racing Heroes Goodwill Tour

(Wausau, Wisconsin) Scott Wimmer will tour United States Military bases as part of the 2008 RACING HEROES GOODWILL TOUR. The tour which begins on December 9, and concludes on December 20th, will include visits to US bases in Iraq and Kuwait.

The RACING HEROES 2008 Goodwill Tour is geared toward military personnel stationed overseas. The program focuses on raising spirits and providing inspiration to servicemen and women serving abroad. David Chavez, president of Pro Sports MVP says, “The UFC fighters’ and models’ visit will have a tremendous impact on the troops. We are certain that the RACING HEROES 2008 tour will be very entertaining and a welcome and needed break from the routine”. The participants will attend autograph/photograph sessions, lead clinics and demonstrations, hold meet and greets, and visit hospital patients and staff.

Wimmer, a Wausau, WI native, currently drives the #29 Holiday Inn Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide series, is very excited and very proud to be part of the tour. “The job the troops are doing overseas and at home is tremendous. I am thankful for the service they provide and this is the least I can do to give back to them” Scott explained.

Joining Wimmer will be NASCAR driver Geoff Bodine, Indy Pro Series driver Arie Luyendyk Jr, and NHRA driver Hillary Will.

The tour is under the direction of Pro Sports MVP, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
