Amber Fant from Holcomb, Miss. Awarded with Ultimate Race Fan Experience
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ (October 16, 2009) – Hellmann’s® and Best Foods® Mayonnaise announced today Amber Fant from Holcomb, Miss., as the winner of the Hellmann’s NASCAR “Real Fan of The Year” contest. Her winning fan photo earned her and a guest the opportunity to attend special events during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ Champions Week celebrations in Las Vegas at the conclusion of the season. A panel of experts, including JR Motorsports drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski and Mark Martin, selected the grand prize winner out of the seven finalists. The grand prize winning photo submission included Fant sitting with a variety of Hellmann’s®, Lipton® and Klondike® product spelling the words “Real Fan.”
Thousands of fans uploaded their “real” fan photos to RealFanOfTheyear.com for the opportunity to meet Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski plus attend the Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. An online vote decided the seven lucky finalists that received this VIP experience. The photo submissions showed what makes them the most “real” NASCAR fan plus included the logo or product of one of the participating brands. These brands included Hellmann’s® and Best Foods® Mayonnaise, Lipton® and Klondike®.
“I am really thankful to Hellmann’s for giving Brad Keselowski, Mark Martin and myself the opportunity to award the fans that support us day in and day out, win or lose,” said Dale Earnhardt Jr., team owner and driver of JR Motorsports. “Hellmann’s really went above and beyond to award a select group of people with an ultimate fan experience.”
Grand prize winner Amber Fant will continue her ultimate fan experience when she attends the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ Champions Week celebrations in December.
“This is an incredible experience for any real NASCAR fan,” Fant said. “I am so grateful to Hellmann’s and the panel of judges for giving me the opportunity to not only meet two of my biggest NASCAR idols, but also attend the Champions Week activities in Las Vegas.”
Seven Fans Get Their Face in the Race
In addition to meeting Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski, the seven finalists also got their images displayed on the No. 88 JR Motorsports Nationwide Chevrolet as part of a special paint scheme that ran during the Dollar General 300. The seven finalists, including the grand prize winner, will also be featured in a full-page ad in NASCAR Scene magazine. The finalists include:
