Stanton Barrett looks forward to the bright lights of Las Vegas

Monday February 22, 2010

Stanton Barrett is no stranger to the glitz of Las Vegas.  The “Hollywood Stuntman” returns to Sin City for the running of the Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 27th, the same place he witnessed a Top 10 finish vanish in the closing laps with a blown motor.

“I really enjoy racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  I like the track configuration and the crowds are always electric”, stated Barrett.

Barrett will be piloting the #31 Fuel Doctor USA Chevy once again this weekend and looks forward to finishing at the front.

“We have a really good car for this weekend.  This is the same chassis that I qualified 11th at Lowes Motor Speedway with last year and the same chassis that Tim Andrews ran so well with during the 2009 season.  With our great motor package from ECR and crew chief, Gary Cogswell calling the shots, we feel really positive about our chances.”

The Fuel Doctor USA Chevy will also carry logos of the Stratosphere Hotel for the event, as Barrett and teammate Chrissy Wallace will participate in the 4th Annual Dale Earnhardt Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament on Thursday at 4pm at the casino.

Stanton and Chrissy will be signing autographs at 9pm on Friday at the Stratosphere Hotel as well.

“Our team has really worked hard over the winter and we feel like we have turned the corner for success.  We went to Daytona with four entries (2 in the Nationwide Series and 2 in the Camping World Truck Series) and all four made the show.  The truck teams with Donnie (Neuenberger) and Brett (Butler) finished 9th and 11th proving that hard work is starting to payoff.
