I heard the same thing HH but he is going to run some Hooters Pro-Cup races first. I have always liked Buckshot for some reason. I met him at Bristol and he was a VERY nice guy and went out of his way to sign Autographs and stop what he was doing to take pictures.

well BDR could be up against the wall....
Saw this posted:
360 OTC leaves World of Outlaws as title sponsor UPDATE

Last month it was posted on Jayski...
Quote
have been told that members of the #36 Bill Davis Racing team were told that if the team were shutting down, they would find out from team owner Bill Davis and not thru the media and that BDR is contracted with Toyota to field two teams even if the sponsor were to leave the team or not pay the bills.

SO now this was posted on Jayski today..??
Quote
World Racing Group announced today, effective immediately its national late model touring series will be known as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, removing 360OTC as title sponsor. “We enthusiastically promoted the 360OTC brand and were delivering, and even over delivering, on our obligations in the partnership,” said World Racing Group CEO Tom Deery. “Unfortunately, Rockford-Montgomery Labs and its 360OTC brand were not able to live up to its responsibilities and obligations and we are effectively ending the sponsorship.(WoO site), no word how or if this effects sponsorship of the #36 Bill Davis Racing Nextel Cup team of Jermey Mayfield or the BDR Truck Series team of Tyler Walker. BDR has no comments about the situation. BDR reps responded to email with a 'no comment' when asked about the sponsor.(4-23-2007)
UPDATE: 360 OTC returns as the primary sponsor of Johnny Benson's #23 Toyota for the second Truck Series race in a row this weekend at Kansas Speedway. Benson will join BDR teammate Tyler Walker in representing 360 OTC on the side of his #36 truck. This will be the second of 10 races this season with 360 OTC as the primary sponsor on Benson's truck, and is also Walker’s first attempt to race at the Kansas Speedway

Sounds like 360 came in with a lot of promises to several folks and (at least to some) it is falling short.  Being in the racing game for over 15 years,.. you see this quite a bit.  Some folks can come in,.. talk a good game,.. but when time to write the checks come,.. they fold up. Just from reading the article,.. it is fairly obvious they haven't paid NEAR what they owe to the WoO.
Seems like only a matter of time until BDR gets caught in the same  situation..
We'll just have to wait and see

I don't think ANY team wants to lose a Sponsor especially a Struggling Toyota Team, That just adds Insult to Injury.

Here is another situation where Everyone is missing the Obvious.

The deal with Bill Davis is a little strange because Dave Blaney has made EVERY race this season and Mayfield has made 2 so what is wrong with this picture. IMO the problem is with J.Mayfield. Ya have 2 drivers on the same team with the same NEW Manufacturer and only 1 making the races.

I agree... Like I have always said...
The reason Evernham got rid of Mayfield was NOT because of 'retaliation' because Mayfield was flapping his gums about Ray and Erin (that may have hastened it)??  But the boy just can't drive a car.
Even compared against someone like Blaney (what I call a mid-range driver)... Blaney is kicking the pants off of Mayfield

Does it make a difference that Blaney's team has been continuously run for many years.  They had chassis with notes.  Blaney had a returning crew chief and crew members.  They had continuity, and are the only Toyota team that can say so.  Blaney actually should be doing much better than he is, since he was the only Toyota starting with a locked in spot.

To give the devil his due, Mayfield did make the Chase for the first 2 years.  Kahne had more wins with the same crew, but barely squeaked in last year.  This year Kasey, again with that same crew, will be lucky to stay in the Top 35 all this season (and with Talladega coming up, and plate racing not being Kasey's [or Evernham's] strong point, he will be lucky to leave 'dega still locked in.  So, in regard to Mayfield, I guess he must have some sort of talent, right?

Yikes, Chris!  That's harsh.

According to Racing-reference, Jeremy ranks 11th in total driver points since 2002.  Mikey is 18th.

Since 2004 through 2006, he’s 13th and Waltrip is 25th.

Hmmm.  Don't know why that didn't work.  Try this one:

If it doesn't work, do a search for racing-reference.info and click on the appropriate links.
