Shoulda never sold that 1968 Charger 440 I built and had while I was in the service (circa 1973)... ESPECIALLY since they sold a similar 1972 clone at Barret-Jackson auction in FL on SPEED ...Earlier tonight, it sold for a cool $97,000 bucks!! Also shoulda bough that Superbird/Daytona the local dealer was trying to dump for $5,000 back in late 1970...THAT went for 275 grand!!! Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

I'm back now, but have been sick ever since I got back, and my home computer is on the fritz again!!!!

Took her to where I grew up and spent the years till I was 18 and enlisted in the Navy...Suffolk County, Long Island NY...also showed her Manhattan..where I spent the last 3 years before i left for CA working and having fun!!!   SHe loved it and wants to go back again for a longer stay soon!!!

It was so NOT what I expected!  I even drove the whole way and didn't freak out at the traffic.  My daughter was amazed cause I kinda get nervous when I'm driving where I've never been before, but I had a good guide.  He never got us lost, but we did end up in some interesting places.

I'm not a city girl, grew up in the toolies in Washington and have lived in small towns ever since, but I LOVE NEW YORK CITY!!!  Oooh, the shopping, the little hole-in-the-wall places to eat, the parks, the people, did I mention the shopping, the subway, the trains, the buildings, the window decorations, the shopping (oops!  think I mentioned that one already.)  Anyway I had a blast.  I met some of Indy's friends and his sister and had a very nice time.  We're going back in a couple of months.  I can't wait! Cheesy
