I often wonder what some drivers are thinking and today I did alot of wondering LOL. I don't know where D.Ragan thought he was going but IMO he was trying a little to hard a little to early. I may be wrong but I don't think a race has EVER been won on the first lap. IMO he needs to run ALOT more Busch Races.

I could see D.Ragans accident happening because of theYellow Stripe on his bumper but IMO there was NO excuse for Kyle Busch's accident. When Stewart spun out (which was quite often) Jr slowed down in plenty of time but then out of no where Busch hits him so hard it lifted the car off the ground. Now I know there was a cloud of smoke but my whole point is that Jr got slowed down, So why couldn't Busch?

Well the Kurt Busch Incident with Spencer happened a few years back after they had back to back incidents wrecking each other , the altercation happened after the Race in Pit Row , when Spencer just reached in and suckered Kurt..who
had it coming after a comment about has beens and never beens causing wrecks..etc. Although Kurt was a Roush Team Member at the time I felt he was quite arrogant and needed the wake up call which Spencer provided.
As for Junior..he's just a Racer..apparently Kyle had left in a huff and Junior volunteered to drive the repaired #5 Car..it's been done before...gotta love Lilly's..love for the Sport...take that Teressa lol !

Just when I was giving a grudging bit of  respect to the Busch Bros...THIS!


There is simply NO WAY Kyle could not have seen Jr., AND saw that he was getting bigger and bigger in the windshield.
We saw Jr's in car and it showed him entering the smoke a split second before the 5 hit him. The 5 was behind so he reached the smoke even later than Jr..Id just LOVE to see the 5's in car cam on ths one.He HAD to be looking right at Jr., The 8 car, and the smoke (both kinds ) were right in front of him and where he'd be looking.

I know that sometimes you are best to just hammer down thru a wreck to get thru it ..but in this case he could see Jr until just before impact. He HAD to be gettin REALLY big in the windsheild so he could tell he was closing fast.

You dont just run thru a guy!!

Ill admit the HMS hatred in me came thru for split second there. I  mean..here we have Jr in a really fast and good car, looked to be maybe even THE car to beat, he was beating the 24, the 48 was wrecked, the 5 was "Blowin' up" as I recall and slowing and appeared done. HMS is going for what ...their 5th oir 6th win this season, and Jeffypoo's never won at this track. err...Hey Kyle...ya see that 8 car ahead there buddy...attaboy!!

No..I dont think even St. Ricky would do THAT! But ya gotta admit...THAT'S Big picture racin there!

I figure Ill hear it for even thinking that from the HMS crowd but, AGAIN.... I DON'T REALLY BELIEVE THAT!

It would kinda explain why Kyle was so miffed though....

By implying that Ragan was, in fact, thinking may be giving him a little too much credit.

In defense of Kyle, it is much, MUCH harder for the drivers on track to see through the smoke than it is for us-he probably COUDN'T see the eight after he entered the smoke.  Case in point, the in-car form Jimmie Johnson in teh previos crash. Jimmie could not see the 20 until he ran into him and the in-car shows this.  While I think his spotter should have been more helpful, a lot of times, spotters tell their drivers to stand on it to get through the smoke.  By the time that Kyle got to the back of Junior, it was probably too late.  Should he have backed off?  Yes-Kyle is often to hot-headed for his own good.  Was it deliberate?  No.  Actually, the team I have to question in that incident was the 20.  As bad as that car was handling, they should have taken longer to make sure it was driveable BEFORE they sent Tony back out after his tangle with Montoya, or Tony should have come back to pit road IMMEDIATELY when it was not.

I understand what you're saying and I agree regarding JJ's and the 20 crash, but,The 8's in car showed Jr entering the smoke and the 5 hitting him nearly immediatley after that . Kyle could surely see BEFORE he entered the smoke....

Id truly love to see the 5's in car cam.

Forget Busch....what was that move Tony was trying when he spun out???  It was obvious 100 yards back there was goiing to be wreck....I'm just suprized he didn't take Kurt with him.

To be fair to Kyle it would have been nearly impossible. He was in the middle of the smoke and there was no way.  We were there and had a perfect view of it.  It's not really fair to chew him out.  It was nearly impossible for him to know Dale Jr was checking up as much as he was.  It was a racing deal and stuff happens.  (and we all know how much i DONT like Kyle B)

Like Blu said hopefully he showered after getting out LMAO Speaking of J Spencer, did anyone catch his comments on Jr before the race? He said if Dale was alive he would be taking Jr into a room and smacking him around, also that Jr will lose fans if he would drive for anyone else, which the crowd seemed to disagree with. He also made comments regarding Kelly Earnhardt. That she's on an ego trip, and that she's married now, so why does she still use the Earnhardt name. Any thoughts?

I dont really think Jr. leaving DEI would have any impact on Jr whatsoever as far as a fan base ....now Teresa? She just better hope this all gets worked out and she comes out OK.

Regarding Kelly...I think she goes by Kelly Earnhardt-Elledge if Im not mistaken. I dont really see an issue there.

Tony had just came off of pit road and had alot fresher tires than Kurt and just ran up so fast on him that when he tried to slow down the car broke loose on him.

I can't find anything online regarding his comments. IMO they were way off base. Hope someone can help you out. If I had Raceday on my DVR still I would have watched it again a copied down exactly what he said.

I was a bit annoyed at how hard he was on his comments regarding David Ragan's stupid move on lap one, but then in the next breath he says how much he likes JPM's aggresive driving style...

In My opinion Ragan is showing a LOT more maturity than Montoya is...
Montoya is wrecking EVERYONE on the track.  This week it's Stewart, at Bristol it was someone else, and at Martinsville still someone else.  If he keeps it up the whole field is gonna have it out for him.
He may has well have a big bullseye on his car if he don't stop crashing people.  Drivers are gonna start giving him some of his own medicine if he don't chill.

This is the first run in Ragan has been in with anyone this season,... don't know why folks are jumping on him so.
LOTS of folks doing worse than he is...
