Kyle was wrong - period. You may "think" the car can't be fixed, but it's also your responsiblity to make sure what you "think" is correct. He should have actually checked with his crew chief instead of running away. He owed his team the respect to do so. He made a huge error in judgement, and for his sake, I hope he can find a way to earn back his team's trust.
Junior drove 9 laps in a wrecked car for another team. It was nice of him to do that, but certainly not earth-shattering news. He didn't "race" it, he limped it around to get the car enough laps to pass the 48. Nice gesture, nothing more, nothing less.
Kyle didn't want to be bothered with a reported and told him to get lost. I'm fairly sure he's not the first driver to do so, and I'm also fairly sure he won't be the last one to do so. It was a tad impolite
but really, not a big deal.
Hmmm... looking at all that, maybe Junior needs to get more upset when bad things happen to him on the track? (j/k)

I totally agree with you.

Ah guys? He had been in a couple of hard crashes. Late word is that his back was hurting. Hurt backs are nothing to fool around with.
Probably should have checked with Alan, but this isn't the crime against nature some of you HMS-haters are making it out to be.

Kyle had a lapse in judgment. He never should have assumed that the car was not repairable....so shame on him. But that was a week ago and is old news now LOL. Time for the HMS haters to start bad mouthing Jeff Gordon tying Dale Earnhardt on the career wins list.

Funny, I see posts about a lot of other things more than a week old on this board.

Yeah true....but a lapse in judgment like this is such a simple thing and no need to rehash them over and over and over again.

I've had the "privilege" of hearing Shrub via scanner when he raced a Featherlite Southwest Series race in 2005 out here on the "left coast"....
Whiny and Crybaby fit very well....
Didn't surprise me a bit to find him missing after he wrecked himself and Jr.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY . . .
When I go to casinos, the most ridiculous sign I see is the one that says:
"If you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER."
So, I call them and say,
"I have an ace and a six. The dealer has a seven. What do I do?"
