sure they can....they make up rules as they go along anyways Roll Eyes

You have that right Girly ! Ifin Nascar wished they could make it very uncomfortable for Dei to maintain the #8...Teressa would give it up in a Heartbeat , if Nascar put the heat on her !   Wink But I think Junior is happy to start fresh with another Team / Sponsor and Number ! It's the Fan's that are causing the ruckus , were very reluctant to change !  Wink

ya know it's funny....
Thinkgs that don't make a HOOT... (like Jr's number). fans get all wound up about.
But when Nascar doe sreal STUPID stuff... like the chase, screwing some tracks over others (like their own), inequality in the way it enforces the rules from one driver to another...
Fans just shut up and go along.
Too bad fans just don't have enough ball to stand up and voice their opinion about stuff that MATTERS   Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Huh?

Some fan's don't care what Nascar does to a certain track or how bad they screw up the Point's system, The only thing that matters to them is where this guy or that guy finishes. It's kinda like a guy I was talking to in IL this past weekend when he said, If Stewart starts driving a Toyota I will find a NEW driver but you also have to figure that this guy said he was one of Stewart's Biggest fans.

Same thing goes for the Media because that's all I have heard lately is, Will Dale Jr be in the #8 or will he keep Bud or where will he go so I can see why some fans think the way they do. If that's all they hear then that's what their going to talk about.

Well I have to agree... the media is JUST as bad.
They should get in there and ASK the controversial questions,.. right up front, on air, and without warning.  Put the Nascar officials on the spot in front of a national audience.
Thats what made reporters like Chris Econimaci and others so good.  They got in there and forced drivers, and officials to face the difficult questions.

I guess thats what we get now since all we have is mostly "Nascar Mouthpieces".  Even Jimmy Spencer don't say much against nascar any more, and I gotta think orders came down from above,... "calm down or we'll replace you.  Can't have someone making the officals look bad"

I think most fans (not one like here) but MOST are just too DUMB or uninformed to know what is going on,.. and just don't investigate.
Thats the way they run their lives... whether it be with what governments does, etc.  Only know what they wanna know, and stick their head in the sand about everything else.... then act surprised.
