As I said earlier...

That's probably the better talent that I refered to in the past. Neither of the Eurys are one of NASCAR's best crew chiefs.  They are family though, and it's good to see that that no longer will hold as much weight as it once did at DEI.  Hopefully that's what it means at least.  I'd look as this as an improvement and a sign that they want the teams to go to the next level.

Also, just because Joe Gibbs is a Football coach doesn't change the fact that he's not at the track every week.  Part of being a great leader is knowing how and who to delegate authority to, and then having the confidence in your decision.  Teresa not being there every week is a non-issue when it comes to the success of the teams.  That whole voice-in-the-ear-moral-support argument is only a sign of a lack of self confidence in the poster and transferring that feeling of hopelessness to successful people. It doesn't apply.

Yeah, OK.

I agree Ty Wink

Ren,Surely even a "successful person" appreciates the big man (or woman) coming bye and giving them that pat on the back, or, maybe  saying "You're doing a great job!" It means something

Maybe it may not mean much when your already giving 100% ,  but...then that extra little 1/10 of a percent may make the difference of when/how you do somehing upcoming or you've been thinking about...or..at least make ya feel like you're appreciated.

Have you never felt great about the job you happen to be doing, and then the boss comes up and tellls ya that you're doing great?? It has to me, and Ill say..its made me feel pretty darn good to see my hard work  recognized and I tried just that little bit harder to do even more. Same deal in racing Im sure.

On the other hand...IF Im feeling Im giving it all and sacrificing for my company, and the boss walks by with his nose in the air not even acknowleding your prescence,or maybe even says something like, "Need to speed it up a little", or, "You..get a  haircut" or worse, "Whats you're name?"   It kinda would leave ya..well.... deflated a tad wouldnt it? Embarrassed

Janitor, or CEO, or race car driver...We ALL need that lil pat from time to time. Wink

You're absolutely right, Blu.   I saw an interview with Little E not long ago where he flat out SAID that was part of the problem.

I didnt see that but , I  can believe that Falcon.

I think it would be bad enough to work where you werent appreciated by the boss, never hear a "good job", or a "we'll get em next time won't we" talk..but simply terrible to not be wanted.

What an awful place to be and I personally  kinda think (whether right or wrong in thinking it ) Jr. felt that way to a degree around Teresa.

I personally wouldnt stick around either if I felt that way. Undecided

Hey, don't get me wrong, encouraging words do a lot to motivate some at times, and there's definitely a place for that. But that's the crew chief's job on race day and that's what he does, or should be doing, all through the race when it's needed.  What I'm referring to is arguments that that is the reason that Teresa should be at the track. That's what I'm talking about. Her being at the track every week is a non-issue.  If the teams can't succeed just because she's not at the track, you can't tell me that they are successful teams.

Look, I like Junior. He's one of my favorite drivers out there as a person and he sets a better example than just about anyone else out there. I just don't think that Teresa and others who have made some of his fans think that he's been wronged are as bad as they make out.

Remember when Alec Baldwin got all that grief about how he was yelling at his daughter over the phone?  If it was Junior doing it, the Nation would point out that she had it coming, and that Kim Bassinger was also at fault for spawning the bit... oh wait, Beth says I can't use that word... the young lady.

I wouldn't be surprised if they erected a statue of her in the parking lot just so they could invade DEI headquarters and then pull it down in victory, then hunt her down until they found her in the spider hole.  Drag her out in front of the cameras before she could take a shower and wax.

LOL.

Ren!

Two words, buddy.

"Pete." "Rondeau."

The woman is a bit... ahem, "young lady."    Grin

And the more I think of it, the fact that she owned 100% of DEI and would be writing her own will....  can you say "Taylor Marie?"

"Kelly and Kerry who?"   Shocked Angry

I know if I were a car owner I would want to be at the track every Sunday if nothing else just to let the team know what a great job there doing.

Look at Penske and Ganassi, They are ALWAYS at the IRL races but I can't remember the last time I saw either of them at a Cup race unless of course it's a REAL big event or the IRL is off.

IMO it would mean ALOT more if the guy who signs my paycheck were there to pat me on the back.

The Car Owner Hired me and he can Fire me lol.

Actually they did an interview with Ganassi during the rain delay coverage just as the drivers were getting called to their cars.  I see him at the track a lot when there are conflicting races.  I think that he's just not shown that much because it's rare that any of his cars are in a position to warrant showing Chip.  Although, they don't seem to show Rick Hendrick that much until he shows up in Victory Lane.  For some reason, they always show Jack Roush in the pits and he's always at the NASCAR events even though he owns more racing teams throughout different series than anyone in the world.
