Did you hear Kyle on the in-car replay of the crash caused by Kenseth?

Kyle said the "F" word which was fine for the situation but...  When TNT replayed the crash from inside Kyles car they neglected to bleep his language...

TNT - you owe Kyle some money to replace the fine he will end up having to pay and an apology...

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY . . .

When I go to casinos, the most ridiculous sign I see is the one that says:
"If you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER."

So, I call them and say,
"I have an ace and a six. The dealer has a seven. What do I do?"

I didn't realize that was the replay. It just came out real loud over my surround sound and kind of caught my attention.  Heck, there really is no excuse for that.

....  Heck, there really is no excuse for that.
Maybe so, but....  In the heat of the moment they only people "privileged" to hear that are Kyle's crew and anyone that happens to be listening locally, on their scanner.

TNT upped the ante' by sharing that local broadcast and neglected to review the broadcast and bleep the appropriate area before sending the content national.

Yep, that's what I meant was that there was no excuse for that going out over the air since it wasn't even close to being live.

The producer who screened (or failed to screen) that tape should have to ante up any resulting fine. No excuse at all.

That was my thought too.
I mean, TNT screwed it up.

I don't think Kyle will get a fine or anything because he had no control over what was played on his scanner.

I don't recall anyone ever being fined for language on their scanner being broadcast.  The network could, but I doubt NASCAR will fine Kyle for that.

If I'm not mistaken. Frankie Stoddard?? was fined by NASCAR for dropping an F bomb on the team radio, which was picked up by NBC's broadcast.  That one WAS live though without a delay, so it really was just bad timing all the way around.

Funny thing was...just before the race I told Jay , "I know Kyle's a Christian and all, but TNT may hear somehting they dont wanna today. We ALL have things we say at times in the heat of the moment!LOL"

Prophetic huh?? Grin   Ya know...I seldom curse, and ama Christian myself, but...I said EXACTLY the same thing when I saw that happen!LOL Embarrassed Grin

We're not perfect... Wink

NOW,.. this is a very interesting topic to tie in with our OTHER thread we had a week or so ago about the courts ruling the FCC had overstepped it's bounds and 'dirty words' would be allowed to be aired over the TV...
I was saying in the heat of the battle sometimes things just slip out,.. some folks were saying (or implying) a racers should NEVER say such a thing...
This is a perfect example.  Should he have said what he did... sure why not..??
Should it of been edited... maybe...
BUT if the courts rule it's OK to say "most" things,.. then there will be no need to do editing.

We all know what staunch Christians Kyle and Patty are especially since the loss of Adam.  They even went to interview Kyle during the pace laps, and caught him leading a prayer on the radio with the team.  SO no doubt he is a Christian.
He's human,.. in the heat of battle.... ADULT words slip out.
It's human nature.

I don't think Petty deserves a fine, and if one is handed down... I think TNT should pay it.

Frankie wasn'r the only one.

Todd Parrott used the "F" word on the TEAM radio but anyone watching heard it too. I don't know who was carrying the race but I do remember it was at Telledega and he WAS fined.

Good point Chris and I agree.

Were talking about a guy who doesnt allow Alcohol sponsors on his car because of his religion so I doubt this word came out on purpose.

If it wasn't for TNT replaying the In-Car no one would have known about it but I expect something like this from TNT. I wonder if Kyle does anymore Commentating for TNT?

The team radio should be used for the purpose in which it was intended, Communication between Driver and Team ONLY................well........maybe the other teams who want to know what your strategy is and of course the people who have scanners. As for playing it on TV, Shouldn't be done. We all know that the drivers are sometimes going to say things like this so why even have it where we can hear it. I know it's all about ratings but how good are the ratings going to be if a little kid turns to his dad and says, What does F#*& mean because we all know kids will do just that and that parent might think twice before watching the race in front of the Family next time.

TNT needs to step up to the plate and PAY the fine for Kyle because IMO it's thier fault.

Bottom line is, there will be no regulatory fine, because the outburst happened on cable/satellite, which the FCC doesn't police.
