What would that track be?

And,

What track would lose a date to make up for the date you added?

My picks: Race at North Wilkesboro (presuming they repair it), and Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham (it's a road course). Drop one of the California dates, and even though I like the track, one of the Pocono dates. Its two dates are simply too close together.

The Rock...drop either a Pocono or New Hampshire race, ESPECIALLY since they intend on building another track in New York.

I'm with sweetwahine
Add North Wilksboro and Riverside... (did you all see in another thread they ARE rebuilding a duplicate of Riverside Speedway in the same general area)

Since we could have Riverside back,.... Drop Fontana and also drop the Lowes fall race...
We have THREE cookie cutter tracks made EXACTLY alike. (Lowes, Atlanta, and Texas)
All three are within four weeks of each other,.. and with all the problems Lowes has had the last year or so... thats my choice.

I'm with the majority here. Smiley 'cept I'd have to say Fontana OR a California date getting dropped, along with some other, probably in the Northeast. That area has such a problem, being a hotbed of tracks without having the sort of weather that allows anytime racing.

Iwould add Pikes Peak.  It is a cool track in a cool location.  Give the fans in that area of the country a race.

I would drop a Pocono race.

boy,.. everybodies down on Pocono   Embarrassed
I think it's a cool old track,.. not another one like it anywhere,... and the "idea" that turn #1 is designed to be like this track,.. and turn #2 is designed to be like that track,.. and turn #3 is like a different track... I think it's pretty cool
Someone was using their head when they sat down and put the plans for that together...

Also pretty cool it's one of the FEW tracks left the France family hadn't got their grubby little fingers on yet.

I would LOVE to see the Truck Series (or even Busch would be cool) come back and race at I70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri.  Unfortunately, just about the time I started following NASCAR, they stopped coming to I70.  It's just an awesome short track, and the kind of thing that is really missing from the Truck Series circuit.  I know the series is a lot bigger now than it was then, but it would still be pretty cool!

I don't have a problem with Pocono, I just have a problem going there twice in such a short span of time.

I also forgot about Loudon's two dates. I suppose Pocono could keep both of its dates if Loudon lost one.

My least favorite races by far are the ones in Fontana. Michigan is next on that list. Basically, just about any track that finds half the field in danger of being a lap down by the first set of pit stops is bad news -- unless it's a short track, because then at least you've got bumping and drama. There are some exceptions to that rule (Darlington) but not many.

Also, Chicagoland may need to look at some changes to its track or it will become in danger of turning into a snoozer. There was virtually no excitement in that race until the end.

What I find so interesting about chicagoland versus Kansas is that Kansas has really turned into a decent race at times (well, not so much in 2005) and overall seems to be coming in better than the Chicagoland race track. I guess even cookie cutters have their differences...
