Kasey Kahne is going to be the new Bud man. Can he really pull that off with his clean cut image? Let us know.

Note, I haven't read the FS article yet, but I'll copy / paste here what I posted in another thread here on this forum:

Quote
Kasey can bring in a demographic even better than Jr. can.  The female beer drinker.  Ignore the NASCAR fans, Kasey already has a legion of them (especially the females).  Think of the chicks who aren't NASCAR fans who are in their 20's doing the club scene, hitting the dance clubs, or going to the grocery in preparation for the college party.  Many of these young ladies know nothing about NASCAR, but they look up to that life size cardboard cutout of Kasey "the race car driver" over the beer cooler and think, "He's hot!"

Poor Kurt Busch had it bad enough with Jr. in the cardboard cutout war.  At least he got his ears done though.
Even vs. Jr., I think most females would think Kasey is the better looking guy.  And believe it or not, it can play a big role in purchase decisions.

Budweiser is huge, and their customer base is also huge.  One would be crazy to think that the Jr. image or face is THE face of Budweiser.  It's simply been the one we're used to seeing.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Budweiser use Kasey Kahne to promote the Bud Light brand more.  Females make up a huge percentage, if not the majority, of the purchase decisions in households.  I'd wager to say that they purchase Bud Light over Budweiser by a consistent margin.  Kasey could be a great pitchman for that brand, or keep on with Budweiser itself.

This is what Kasey had to say on Tuesday:

“I’ve had a lot of people say, ‘You don’t look like a Bud guy. You don’t look like you drink beer.’ Well, they just don’t know me very well,” Kahne said. “I enjoy beer and I enjoy Budweiser. The more the fans that don’t know Kasey Kahne, watch and see, they will be surprised.”
