What will Mr. Smith buy next. I say Pocono. That place must be worth a few bucks. Close to the Interstate. Casino Gambling nearby, i believe.

Maybe move another race out of the Northeast....Move it to..... fill in the blank

Cut a race to 400 miles.

Get away from them nasty New Yorkers, eh brutus???

I STILL can't say if Nascar gets too far out of whack... and "King Brian" get way out in left field...
Bruton may not branch off and start his own series.
He's collecting tracks like a kid collects baseball cards...
Right now he has SEVEN different tracks, and they range from small to mid-size, and a road course.
That accounts for 13 of the races of the 36 on the CUP schedule.  He wouldn't have to get but just a couple more,.. and if he split off on his own, he would take HALF of the races with him.
Something to consider.

Nascar is getting bigger and IMO too big for their britches.  Part of me would LIKE to see something major like that happen,... but part of me would hate to see something like what happened to the IRL/Cart unfold.

Kentucky Speedway?
Iowa Speedway?

Build his own.

I'd hate to see a split, but I like the thought of there being that possibility or that balance check.

Your Right SunKist...
They could have a race or two at Kentucky,.. and Iowa.  How about St Louis, or a couple of the other "Bgn Only" tracks that have been wanting a CUP date for years.
And lets not forget Rockingham... that track is back reopened... Have a couple dates there, and pretty soon you have close to 30 event dates.

Your both right and how about all of these cities who want to see a Nascar race but Nascar doesn't want to go there?

As for Kentucky, King Brian has said on numerous occasions that he wants Nascar to get away from their southern roots so that would explain why he keeps turining that race down. Granted that doesn't make much sense but not much Brian does makes much sense lmao.

I would personally love to see Bruton branch off on his own and start his own series. I think people would prefer to go to a racing series that he started over Brians, or at least I would.

If it was up to me, I'd yank one of those boring Pocono races and give it to Kentucky.
The two Pocono races are too close together anyway.

I've been to a Busch Race at Kentucky Motor Speedway and the facility is awesome. The most important thing IMO is how comfortable the place is. The isle's real wide and your seat is something else because of how much room there is between you and your neighbor lol.

Bruton has already tried that in the 40's, but Big Bill and Co. out did him in forming NASCAR.  Bruton didn't like that very much.  There was no love lost between Big Bill and Bruton and I believe Bruton wants to take over NASCAR before he dies.

And yes Chris...I knew Big Bill France, so I know some things from the man.

Didn't bruton smith try and start his own series back in 2001 called trac with a bunch of retired nascar drivers like david pearson cale yarborough and richard petty weren't they even going to potentially drive in the series? But i don't think the series ever got off the ground.

Who owns the kentucky track? Aren't they trying to sue nascar - in the middle of a lawsuit like texas was to try and get a cup series date at their track?

Whereas with texas they were sueing to get a 2nd date.

Is darrell waltrip an owner or co owner of the kentucky racetrack annd was he trying to get nascar to give them a cupseries date?

uummmm I don't think Waltrip is any kinda owner in the Kentucky track... but he did help in the design of it.
The race garages make a W in the infield.
See pic.  You will notice the W shape of the garages....
