NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio - Two Boy Scouts and their fathers selling Christmas trees were knocked to the ground by three men with sawed-off shotguns who took about $350, police in this Cincinnati suburb said. Both adults and one boy also were punched.
"At first I thought it was just a little joke, but then, when I saw the gun, I was terrified," said John Hancock Jr., 13, of Troop 393. "And after I saw the gun this guy just punched me right here and it knocked me down," the boy said, pointing to his face.
The men were last seen running down a nearby street after the robbery Monday night.
"They were gutsy enough to not have masks and stupid enough to hit a kid," said police Sgt. Robert Kidd. "What kind of man hits a kid?"
A business owner has offered to replace the boys' money.

That's just pathetic. I hope they get caught and tossed behind bars. I'm sure the general population would offer them a nice welcome once they learn about the assault on the child.

What a pathetic bunch of losers.
Similar
carp
going on here too. The Salvation Army hires " Bell Ringers" every year (some are volunteers) though. One guy they hired and gave the kettle and the bell to, didn't show up for his first day of work , and to pick up his ID and the sign that goes over the kettle. He just took his bell and kettle and set up shop at several places around town. He stays for a little while then packs up and sets up at another location. They know who he is but can't seem to locate him. I'm thinking he's moved to De or PA where they aren't looking for him. Talk about a Grinch!
Boy, is he building up some baaaad karma.

That's terrible....on both stories. It's a shame that people prey on others' goodwill this time of year. And to think...these people could get a job and make their OWN money.

Yeah.. to think... the bell ringer dude.... he "puts in his time" just LIKE a job. Lets say he does this 6 hours a day total. He must be an idiot... he standing out in the cold, many folks don't put in anyway... so I doubt if he gets much anyway (maybe I underestimate). But if he put in the same 6 hours doing an "honest" days work, then he'd be putting in no more time or effort, and be getting it honest.
I suppose it's just the 'thought' he 'knows' it's dishonest...

Arrrrgh! What is it about the Holidays that brings out the nasty in people?
I mean when you think about it $350.00 isn't a lot of money, but to a Boy Scout troop, it could mean going to camp or not going for some Scout. To some people $350.00 is a great deal - I've been there when $50.00 was a lot of money and would feed my family for a week, but goodness sakes, stealing from kids is pathetic!

I think the men did the right thing in not resisting ! Three thugs with shotguns is pretty big risk to fool around with ! I have added the Canton Rep to my favorites list , it seems to have quite interesting articles. It's been yrs since I travelled through Cinci on my Harley...had a great time though !
P.S. I feel really bad for the children , this will scar them for yrs !

We have an online comment section in the paper that allows you to comment on the stories Ty...If you get a chance you can see all the comments on these stories I've posted this morning. One woman said the story about the Marine brought tears to her eyes.

Watch out you can get addicted to that comment section. People tend to get down and dirty, but it's nice that we are able to express ourselves.

No doubt it could scar them for years. And, hopefully, it might cause
a change in the new natural order of things to come that seem to have arrived.
IF those children decide enough is enough, and figure out a way to put an end to actions such as have been described, all will not be for naught. SOMEbody must be able to do that, and THIS generation sure seems unable to get 'er done.
And as scary as this incident was,.............. try to imagine just how far a mindset like those thugs must poses would go.
Do they even HAVE a limit?
Or does it just depend on their mood at the moment?
Where's Charles Bronson when ya need him?
