Looks like Villeneuve is out of a CUP ride...
Maybe Benson missing the field this past weekend was the final nail in the coffin
#27 team suspends operations: Slugger Labbe, crew chief of the #27 Toyota for Bill Davis Racing told Mike Bagley and David Poole on The Morning Drive (Sirius NASCAR Radio 128) that the team has suspended operations due to lack of funding. The #27 may run Talladega but sponsorship money is needed to keep this team afloat.
No surprises here...granted Blaney and the #22 need a teammate but an unsponsored car with a revolving door of drivers is going to have difficulties both qualifying for races and providing consistent feedback that will be of any benefit to the #22 team. Good decision on Bill Davis' part.

Villeneuve was out of a Cup ride long before this.  Frankly I'm surprised they didn't just hang it up after last week.  It's hard to dig out of any kind of hole even from this point of the season with the way competition is on the track...and that's assuming they were able to find a sponsor and soon.
