I'm afraid people better get used to it...
Just like people that didn't like Dale Sr had to get used to seeing him win so much.... or non-Gordon fans had to get used to seeing him win.
If this car is all about "who can drive it"...  I see lots of wins for the 18 and 99

and that's just a part of NASCAR...I don't deny he's a great driver and expect to see many more wins this season and in the coming seasons.  I remember being on the positive side of the Jeff Gordon wins...would love to be on the positive side of Kurt Busch winning, but hoping for a Top 10 seems to be a stretch right now.

It's a tough time to be a Penske fan right now KBF...how that organization went from so far ahead with the COT to so far behind is just mind-boggling.

I feel the same way but about Tony of course.  Wink I'm not so concerned about running up front since he has done that almost all year but this bad luck has to stop now.  Between crap tires and a certain knucklehead head driver these races are getting frustrating to watch.

First off, I enjoyed the race.  It was a stunner to see that wreck early on and it was a big shake-up in the points.  Some moved up and some moved down 3 spots.  Other than pit stops, when I went to the race at Dover (2 years ago) I was concentrating on turns 2 and 4 all the time.  It was fun to see things developing there.  This race had lots of passing.  Kyle put on another show but if you looked at other areas of the race there was lots of excitement.  The more you know about the sport the more you would have enjoyed it.

This race will end up mattering in about 13 weeks from now.  Look how the RouschFenway drivers ended up.  Lots of us have had serious doubts about whether the 17 will be able to put it together this year and this race showed it is possible.  Jeff Gordon had a decent finish with a less than spectacular car and helped himself in the points.  Tony and Jr. being in that wreck hurt their days but they both got back on the track.  Heartbreaking but all part of the drama.

Anyway, I guess I would have to ask, what makes a race exciting to ya'll if this didn't do it for you?

I get the double whammy TF....remember I'm a Tony fan too LOL...it's just about that time for the luck to change and for Tony to start winning.

Well I actually enjoyed the race, but there have been other races this season that I haven't.  The thing I like to see on the track in any series is side by side racing and fighting for your position.  Sure I like to see the cautions...but not for the wrecks.  I like the fact that the field gets closed back up and we're more likely to see that side by side racing.  I guess I'm just not one for someone running off and leaving the field behind...feels more like playing follow the leader instead of racing.

KBF, I'd just watch F1 if follow the leader was my idea of good racing. Dover wasn't the most exciting race, it had some moments. Funny how NASCAR didn't throw the invisible debris caution like they've done in the past to tighten up the field. IMO, that would have made Dover a great race.

Yeah I kept WAITING for the bogus yellow...
Glad it never came.
I commend NASCAR for doing the right thing and letting the race play out (as they should have)

I completely agree.  I don't want a bogus caution just to tighten the field up.  I just enjoy seeing the yellow flag fly simply because it brings the field back together and creates some great racing (better than when they're all spread out all over the track).

Maybe Tony's luck is changing a little bit. The weather stayed away tonight and he won his own race that he put on tonight.  Smiley
