"Group W Bench", eah?
Didn't happen to see those 8x10, glossy, color photographs with
the circles and arrows -- and a paragraph on the back, didja?
Thanx for the info.
Very interesting read.
Back in those days, I was into horses. That put me elbow to elbow with
cowboys, real ones. Couldn't always turn the six-transistor up too loud in their presence.
More like Tumblin' Tumbleweed, Red River Valley, pretty strict on changing the stations on the AM radio in the dash of the pick-em-up too. Fire up ol' Betsy, and if rock comes out the speakers, the last dude who sat in the middle will have his head roll. 360 degrees. Once is enough of that. Believe me.
I was serious about my riding, so I mised a couple of "live" years of music being
born. But I soon caught up after bulking up.
Save A Horse -- OUTride A Cowboy, and what can they say? With long surf style ponytail and beach tan, I spanked 'em. Call me gurlyman?
Hmmmmmmmmm
And that would make those who fell off, ............ what? HeeRows?
Fact is, I was too afraid of falling off. Ergo, I didn't (very often -- but there
were
a few times -- like my girlfriend's new horse that
didn't
like spurs,....
Never realized how things change from an areal view, till then. Keeping in mind, what goes up,
Well, you know the rest.
Right?
But they didn't know that, and I ain't tellin' either. Eight seconds. Is that too much to ask?)

Have a boat?
You mean, there are folks who
don't
have a boat??
I'd heard that before, but I don't believe it.
Now, about the depth of the harbor. Don't want any hull damage or run aground on a sand bar. It'd be high-times till high tide.
Use the helicopter to shuttle back and forth.
Here are the keys...................................

Well all I can say Mr. Indy...is that you and Maura had darn well better call me so I can hear Southern Cross or I'll never ever speak to either of you again.....<stomp>
Heck who knows maybe the Radio Diva herself will manage to pull off some backstage passes and get me an autograph or two.
Shocky........boo hoo....sniffle sniffle......I don't have a boat.....sniffle.
My Ex-hubby sold mine.....it was a little just a little 16ft Bayliner Capri. I don't dig outboards at all but hey she floated and was all mine.
When I was a little girl <imagine that> my dad had a boat...I was raised on the good old San Joaquin Delta here....
Cold hot dogs and warm beer never tasted so good.
Dip...Ranch Dip.....Hail NO
Skinny Dippin......on a warm summers night
Love Boats.....of any kind.
Like to drive 'em too...really fast......speed on water.............whooosh what a rush
Got bounced around in a Speedy Scarab one time out here on the SF Bay......& then sailed under the Golden Gate in a Sailboat.
Done the helicopter thing too...over the Bay.......loved it.
Here's one for you:
Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes
Watchin' the ships roll in
Then I watch 'em roll away again
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide, roll away
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time
Left my home in Georgia
Headed for the Frisco Bay
I had nothin' to live for
Looks like nothin's gonna come my way
I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away
Sittin' on the dock of the bay, wastin' time
Looks like nothin's gonna change
Everything, everything remains the same
I can't do what ten people tell me to do
So I guess I'll just remain the same
I'm sittin' here restin' my bones
Two thousand miles, I roam
Just to make this dock my home
I'm just gonna sit, on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time

Aw now this song reminds me of something I need to do one day.
Dancing In The Moonlight------> Toploader
we get it on most every night
when that moon is big and bright
it's a supernatural delight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
everybody here is out of sight
they don't bark and they don't bite
they keep things loose they keep it tight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybody's feeling warm and bright
it's such a fine and natural sight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
we like our fun and we never fight
you can't dance and stay uptight
it's a supernatural delight
everybody was dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybody's feeling warm and bright
it's such a fine and natural sight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
we get it on most every night
and when that moon is big and bright
it's a supernatural delight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybody's feeling warm and bright
it's such a fine and natural sight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight

One morning I woke up and I knew
You were gone
A
new day, a new way, I knew
I should see it along
Go
your way, I'll go mine and
Carry on
The sky
is clearing and the night
Has gone out
The sun, he
come, the world
is all full of light
Rejoice, rejoice,
we have no choice but
To carry on
The fortunes
of fables are able
To sing the song
Now witness the
quickness with which
We get along
To sing the blues
you've got to live the tunes and
Carry on
Carry on
Love is coming
Love is coming to us all
Where are you going now my love?
Where will you be
tomorrow?
Will you bring me happiness?
Will you bring
me sorrow?
Oh, the questions of a thousand dreams
What
you do and what you see
Lover can you talk to me?
Girl when I was on my own
Chasing you down
What was
it made you run?
Trying your best just to get around.
The questions of a thousand dreams
What you do and what
you see
Lover can you talk to me?

Forgive me if my fantasies might seem a little shopworn
I'm sure you've heard it all before. I wonder what's the right form
Love songs written for you, it's been going down for years
But to sing what's in my heart seems more honest than the tears.
I am curious, don't want to hurry us.
I'm intrigued with us.
Ain't this song a bust.
I don't care, dark star.
I met you several years ago,
The times they were so strange, but I had a feeling.
You looked into my eyes just once,
An instant flashing by that we were stealing.
Another time you felt so bad,
And I wasn't any help at all as I recall.
We didn't quite know what to do so we left the wanting be
Still there for me and you.
Dark star, I see you in the morning,
Dark star, a' sleeping next to me.
Dark star, let the memory of the evening
Be the first thing that you think of
When you open up your smile and see me, dark star.
It's easy to be with you
Even with the storms that rage beneath your search for peace.
We must make some time together
Take the kids and find a world that's ours to keep.
Now you've got me dreaming girl.
It's been so long that I thought that I'd forgotten how.
My heart is once again my soul.
We touched, we did, you know we did, no more teasing now.
Dark star, I see you in the morning,
Dark star, a' sleeping next to me.
Dark star, let the memory of the evening
Be the first thing that you think of
When you open up your smile and see me, dark star.

Another great singer/song writer
It's To Late----> Carol King
Stayed in bed all morning just to pass the time
There's something wrong here
There can be no denying
One of us is changing
Or maybe we've just stopped trying
And it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it
Wo no no no...
It used to be so easy living here with you
You were light and breezy
And I knew just what to do
Now you look so unhappy
And I feel like a fool
And it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it
There'll be a time just for me and you
But we just can't stay together
Don't you feel it too
Still I'm glad for what we had
And how I once loved you
And it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it
Too late, baby, it's too late
Darling, it's too late

ALWAYS ON MY MIND (Elvis Presley)
Maybe I didn't love you quite as good as I should have,
Maybe I didn't hold you quite as often as I could have,
Little things I should have said and done,
I just never took the time.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind.
Maybe I didn't hold you all those lonely, lonely times,
And I guess I never told you, I'm so happy that you're mine,
If I made you feel second best,
I'm sorry, I was blind.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind,
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn't died,
Give me, give me one more chance to keep you satisfied,
If I made you feel second best,
I'm sorry, I was blind.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind

Seems as itf
THIS
one was written for me...
Hope they do this one in the "Solos" at the CSNY concert later this month....
By Neil Young..... with a change of age ...makes it fit better....
Old man look at my life,
I’m a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I’m a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
Fifty five and there’s so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.
Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things that dont get lost.
Like a coin that wont get tossed
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life I’m a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that’s true.
Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesnt mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.
Ive been first and last
Look at how the tI’me goes past.
But I’m all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life I’m a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that’s true.
Old man look at my life,
I’m a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I’m a lot like you were.

I promised a Lady that I would find the lyrics for this song by Cat Stevens... From the first time I heard it over 3 decades ago, it has always torn my heart apart... For you Lady... For you...
Sad Lisa...
She hangs her head and cries on my shirt.
She must be hurt very badly.
Tell me what's making you sadly?
Open your door, don't hide in the dark.
You're lost in the dark, you can trust me.
'Cause you know that's how it must be.
Lisa Lisa, sad Lisa Lisa.
Her eyes like windows, tricklin' rain
Upon her pain getting deeper.
Though my love wants to relieve her.
She walks alone from wall to wall.
Lost in a hall, she can't hear me.
Though I know she likes to be near me.
Lisa Lisa, sad Lisa Lisa.
She sits in a corner by the door.
There must be more I can tell her.
If she really wants me to help her.
I'll do what I can to show her the way.
And maybe one day I will free her.
Though I know no one can see her.
Lisa Lisa, sad Lisa Lisa.

A song from the CSNY concert last night… The one that tore my soul out and left me completely in tears and totally shattered…. This one is for you Ronnie, my brother… I see you in everything that happens of late… I miss you so damn much it still aches some 37 years later.. .I still have the nightmare my brother… and thanks to what is going on today, I cannot let it rest…. And probably never will!

"Roger And Out"
Trippin' down that old Hippie Highway
Got to thinkin' 'bout you again
Wonderin' how it really was for you
And how it happened in the end
But I guess I'll never know the truth
If you were really all alone
We were just a couple of kids then
Livin' each and every day
When we both went down to register
We were laughin' all the way
That's when we named it Hippie Highway
I still call it that today
Roger and out good buddy
I still call it that today
Two camaros racin' down the road
Feels just like yesterday
Roger and out good buddy
I feel you in the air today
I know you gave for your country
I feel you in the air today
Roger and out good buddy
