If Numerous articles are to be believed.  The suits are now telling owners, & drivers. Thou shalt not criticise NA$CAR, It's COC, it's chosen race tracks, or anything else.
What a crock of crap. What's next? Fines, & points reductions If anyone has the audacity to continue to mention that things could be done better. Besides, So what if a driver passes out during a race from the heat inside these wonderful new C'sOC. The're so safe that no one probably will be hurt. Just Man up, & drive. Don't rock the "Gravy Boat" After all, It's all about the Fans, as they like to call us CCs
Come on Big B.S. Step up. Start your own series. With REAL race cars. Oh wait a minute, Tony George already tried that. But you know what. When the dust settled, he came out on top.
On an unrelated note. One of the officials prominently mentioned in the suit, was fired, but it had nothing to do with the suit. OOOOK! Two others have been placed on paid leave. Damn, I wish I was her lawyer. I'll bet this is another subject that the Suits don't really want talked about.

If it's truly all about the fans, let me hear the drivers complain about the car.  The only way anything is going to be fixed is if the drivers speak up Roll Eyes

Oh!
Make NO mistake.
It IS "all about the fans" -----
and what'll hit said fans if the
drivers, while 'being themselves'
utters a word not approved by the
Powers that be NA$CAR.

That WOULD be Detrimental To Stock Car
Entertainment. Which is not about racin'.
NopE!
It's about Big Business and Big Profits.

Remember ----
The definition of a NASCAR fan is -----
A transportation device for a full wallet.
Which will be emptied of it's contents once inside the facility.

Well at least my driver hasn't stopped giving his opinion. He just goes about it in a different way but he made it clear today about what he thought about NASCAR's little meeting.

Sorry to disagree with every one else on the planet but I think the drivers ought to shut up and drive, myself. They're paid to drive the cars not publicly criticize them. If they have concerns about the car, I'm sure there is a mechanism by which these matters can be discussed without whipping the fans up into a frenzy. NASCAR is not going to go back to the old car..at least not next week. And they're not going to change this car every week just because some diaper-wearing driver finds something they don't like about it.

I'm sure at the end of the year NASCAR will review the car and make some necessary changes for next year with plenty of driver input. If given the chance this car could evolve into a fine race car. How does it help to air this out in public?

This isn't about Free Speech, no one's being threatened with jail here. If the company you work for changes the way things are done, they have every right to tell you to stop bitching about it to everybody and go back to work.

Do you really want to go back to the "aero-pushing", racing....bubbles we used to race? Or do you expect NASCAR to roll out a perfect race car right out of the box. What do you want NASCAR to do?

These guys are starting to whine like...like...BASEBALL players!

I personally like to hear what the drivers think about the cars....makes me feel a little better to know that some think they're crap when my favorites are struggling....ALOT.

Brain France must be delusional. In his quest for world domination and the conversion of the masses to become NA$CAR fans, he's forgotten one important thing:

Those of us who have resisted the brainwashing can tell when Brian is lying through his teeth- HIS MOUTH IS MOVING.

I see both sides here.  Brian wants the drivers, crew chiefs and owners to come directly to NASCAR with their beefs.  The drivers, crew chiefs and owners get frustrated when nothing happens after they beef.  I have to lay on the side of the drivers since it is their lives in the balance here.  I do think that someone with the temperament of a Bruton Smith would be more likely to hear the gripes and do something about it but until or unless he or someone like him forms an alternate league this is the one we have.  Now that they have been warned, give a few weeks of working inside the framework of telling NASCAR how you feel and if nothing changes then go ahead and take it back to the press.  Either way, it's safety first.

The media is all over a driver when something happens, especially during a racing incident. I suggest the drivers simply state, "No comment." whenever asked a question. "No comment" can be synonymous to "F-you buddy".
