NHRA star Scott Kalitta was killed today in Englishtown, New Jersey. I couldn't goet on the NHRA website bit it's on the Associated Press and Espn sites

I was at the track attending my first NHRA event. Was the worst wreck i've ever seen. R.I.P. Scott Kalitta

sorry to hear this put a damper on your first NHRA event...
As long as I been going to races... if I sit and think I little,.. I guess I can remember every driver I have seen pass away before my eyes.
Just something that sticks with ya... ya know??
You never go expecting something like that.....
But as a driver, crew member, even a fan,.. you know and understand that is part of the sport, and it is always lurking in the background.
Sad...
