By this time next week, I'll have been sober for one week. Yesterday, my wife, & I were discussing when we wanted to head to the beach. She said," well I know you won't want to go Sunday" I thought about it for about 2 seconds, & said "Hell yes we can go Sunday." I've missed a few races, when I HAD to, but this may be the first that I really didn't mind. No VCR, no MRN, just cold turkey.
They say  "the first step is the hardest"  maybe it'll get easier.
Enjoy the race, & wish me luck. I'll be at the Poker room, in Tunica, Sunday evening.
Note to Brian, Your back to basics, still needs some work. if however, you should take my suggestion, & move the Joliet/Chicago race to the Springfield Mile, Fairgrounds Dirt track. Put my name first on the ticket list. Until then,(Yeah Right!) your product is getting a little stale.

WoW!
That's GOOD news.
I reckon there's hope for me yet.
NASCAR overload is drivin' me to drink.

I'm thinkin' maybe a 12-step program would help.
Take 12-steps away from the television, and don't look back.

Or, ....... maybe I could sue The Brian and NASCAR for tryin' to
take over my life. I need diversity.

HaiL!
Even watchin' golf on TV is lookin' good.
And a bicycle ride sounds even better.
I think The Brian oughta shorten the season to three months, .... four months tops.
And, as an added bonus, just think of all the money the teams would save, along with
my sanity.
