I think that David Reutimann is one of the best of the up and comers.  He has highly impressed me with his poise, attitude and skill.  I don't know if he has the personality to be a super star but I think he has the ability to win races if they can figure out how to make his cars go faster and handle better.  I was glad to see his article here on the Frontstretch.  He's one of the guys I root for, even more so than for his boss.  Getting a 2nd at Nashville was good but a first would have been better, though I'm not unhappy Brad won either.

I was happy Burger King and Dominoes took a chance with him last year and that UPS is still with him now.  I hope Michael can keep the sponsors happy enough to stay on.

I'd like to see him in Victory Lane...I'm just afraid he doesn't fit the "rock star" mold that UPS is looking for...

I'd like to see David get away from MWR. Personally, I think Mikey's a scumbag now. I hate those Aaron's commercials, they make David look like an idiot. I don't know if David will ever be a star. A Cup driver running in the Nationwide Series, whether he wins a few races or the championship, is just a Cup guy running in the Nationwide Series. The Cup guys are supposed to win.

I agree with you Shayne...
David had a chance to really move his career forward at the end of LAST season when his contract was up at MWR.  I am thinking he could of picked up and went to a better team and had better results.
Granted we don't know what was offered, but I kinda think he had to be offered something better than MWR..??
Mikey is a pretty fast talker... figure he might of sold him a line of goods and thats why David decided to stay...

Stardom might be too strong a word.  He certainly does have enough talent to sign on with a better orgainization than MWR, though.

Some sponsors will shy away from him because of his age and relative inexperience at the Cup level.  In today's world of Joey Logano-type drivers, he'd be considered a late bloomer.  Back in the day, his career path would be considered quite normal, though.
