Blu.. I agree 100%
Quote
Amy., dear one..you know I respect and luv ya lots truthufully, but...I honestly didnt see anywhere near the 48's wheels coming "off the ground". He WAS being pushed (and we wont even get into whether the 48 was or wasnt attempting stacking the field up) Ill give ya that
With the OLD car.. yeah KYB could of picked up the rear wheels of JJ car... But I'm sure as knowledgeable as Amy is... even SHE must admit.. with ALL the large amount of talk this season about the rear bumper and the front bumpers of the COT matching up EXACTLY.. it's all but IMPOSSIBLE to lift the rear wheels off the ground any more.... so to make a statement like "KYB jacked up JJ... thats way out in left field, and downright impossible, especially at those slow speeds.
I feel more a case of wishful thinking, and grasping as SOME kind of excuse as to why JJ got beat,.. other than he just got out foxed.
This is another good point.
Quote
On another note regarding Kyle's "mocking" after a win. Err...what is he suppossed to do exactly?
He gets out, gets the checkered flag and bows to thank those who cheered for him. Not much different than what JG or JJ or Jr. or anyone else does IMHO.
Heck Jeffypoo waves and smiles at the crowd that boos him! Isnt that antagonizing those folks?
Course..if he climbed the fence in front of the crowd and stuck his fist in the air, or....if he backflipped off his car, or climbed out and did snow angels now then he'd be antagonizing folks and that would be uncalled for
Everyone has their "style. Tony climbs the fence... even if he did copy it from Helio. Carl does his backflip. J Gordon has said for years.. "he LOVES to win... then get out of his car and WAVE at the booing crowd. He LOVES to ruin their day"
Way I see it... it just the same thing... different variation. The conquering matador politely bows to the crowd as the bulls lay dieing at his feet. Yet another day the Matador has managed to win the day and elude the bulls horns. Some folks root for the matador,.. some root for the bull.

Ive been accused many times of letting my "hatred" (Ive never said that BTW) of HMS make me look for "anything" to gripe about, that indeed may be true to a degree, and me thinks some are guilty of doing the exact same thing with the young Mr. Busch though
ANother good thought. Folks are looking to twist and turn any thing that happens and turn it again KYB. Folks are doing exactly as you say. Turning everything around to suit their needs and so they feel justified to complain and gripe. Won't even DARE to even THINK to allow themselves to admit maybe he is a good as his on track performance shows.
One final note. Being Booed has long been a sign of
GREATNESS
> IN terms of accomplishment, it's almost a badge of honor. Kyle is probably proud of it. Look at all the drivers that got booed in their careers. Richard Petty, Dale Sr, DW, Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliott. In almost
ALL
cases it was JUST because they
WON
so much. It kept fans "favorite" drivers from getting to victory lane,.. so they were resented... and booed.
Looks to me like KYB is in pretty good company.... let the boos continue.

It's getting harder and harder to watch races. Having said that, I didn't see Kyle do anything wrong against Jimmie. I wonder, does anyone know if ratings are going up or down, now that Kyle is winning all the races?

uumm.. up to a month ago the ratng were doing REAl well... TV folks were happy, etc.
The 600 outdrew the Indy 500, etc etc. Many Records for viewership.
Hadn't heard is the last 3 or 4 weeks.
If I had to guess I'd say Inifneon is hard to judge off of,.. many folks just don't tunr in for the Road course evnts.
Of course we had Chicago (at night) which being prime time will automatically increase ratings....
IMO I'd say the rating aren't "suffering "because" KYB is winning... Afterall when the race STARTS in people tune in,.. no one knows the outcomes,. so it's not until it's OVER that everyone knows Busch won. And every week is a brand new week. Real race fans know that anything can happen to anyone at any time.
Even KYB HATERS would still probably tune in just to root AGAINST him.

Well, I'm still watching the Cup races, but I no longer watch the post race stuff if Kyle wins. I also won't watch Victory Lane on Speed if Kyle wins.
I was watching the Phillies game Friday night, and flipped on the N'wide race. ILP was winning with only a handful to go, so I turned it off...
The only reason I watched the end of the race Saturday was because I was hoping that Kyle and Jimmie would both wreck. Not that I hoped Jimmie would wreck, but I figured Kyle would wreck Jimmie, and I was hoping he'd wreck himself too. I liked Kevin Harvicks comment about his third place finish...saying something to the effect that he thought he was in a good position on the restart, but just came up short. What I think he meant was, he figured ILP and JJ would end up in the wall together, and he could scoot by for the win.

Oh sweetie... sorry.
You gotta pick with your head and not your heart in the race game...
just can't do it Chris...can't pick him in the racegame, then hope for him to finish last...
Although, with my luck, if I
do
pick him, maybe he'll end up last...hhhmmmm...I'll have to consider this for the Indy race
ugghh...the thought of that little punk kissing the bricks at Indy is enough to make me sick

I usually do the same .. only in reverse. I find myself picking Martin HOPEING he'll run well... when I know someone better may score me more points.
This week I took him,.. but figure Truex was the way to go... I was right. Should of went with Truex. But I can't complain (this time)

Well look at the
BRIGHT
side... For
NUMEROUS
weeks in a row we
BOTH
had drivers that finished 43rd (and often 42nd and maybe 40th)
THIS week... we both did OK and even our WORST driver of the 14 we were required to pick finished
33rd
. If we can keep that up.. I see BIG things in our future this segment..

I still think that his parents always told him, ever since he first raced a tricycle, that the people were saying Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusch.
And he still believes them!
Kurt on the other hand, figured it out and has modified his behavior accordingly, but he still hasn't told his little brother

Kyle is quickly becoming one of my favorite drivers I've always liked a racer who can talk crap and back it up IE Dale SR Tony Stewart and now Kyle Busch. I would rather see Kyle win 10 in a row Then see Jimmie Johnson win even One
