Has anyone else noticed that RCR is poaching sponsors and all of them come from non Chevrolet teams?  When NASCAR can not have a full field, wonder then if they will assist the teams that have had their sponsors poached by others?

Adding "Sponsor Poaching" to my list of "new" NASCAR terms. Gotta be right up there with co-op-etition.

You make it sound like the team owners have all the say as to where a sponsor lands. Sponsors have every right to go where they can get the best bang for their buck.

Take Lowes for instance. I remember when they left Brett Bodine's team to sign with RCR and Mike Skinner, which was a big step for them. And then they left RCR to sign with Rick Hendrick/Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson... a brilliant move for Lowes.

Sometimes a sponsor dumps a team for a better deal, and sometimes a team drops a sponsor for a better deal. It's a competive world. I don't see where "poaching" enters into it. If you are delivering the goods, you don't have anything to fear.  Seriously...does anyone blame UPS for taking a hike...or Catapiller?

If the respective sponsor reps didn't opt for a better deal than they had been getting...they should be fired. It's a no brainer.

You are missing one of the main points.  The sponsorship came from other manufactures as well as teams.  Soon there will be a large percentage of cars with non covered quarter panels, hoods and deck lids.

Check the stands, more and more there are empty seats where there use to be standing room only.   NASCAR is headed in the directions of F1 and IRL only a few teams will be competitive and the rest will be fillers.

Well, Childress wouldn't have had to poach Cat if NA$CAR hadn't forced AT&T out in the France family quest to sit on an even larger mountain of money.

And if RCR succeeds in poaching UPS from MWR, it's only fair, since Mikey poached them (and a driver) from Yates.

Let Bill Davis and Waltrip go begging to Toyota saying "please sir, can I have some more?"  Freaking sellouts!

Oh, I forgot, Toyota lost interest in BDR and MWR now that they have a team that actually gives them some return on their investment.

BWAAAAHHHAAAAHHAAAAA, racing payback isn't always on the track.  Are my feelings showing through, just a bit?  Grin

Don't worry about haves and have nots... there have always been contenders and backmarkers.

I ate a Poached Salmon one time. Could not tell a bit of difference, between it, & one that was legally caught.
