I'll be surprised if they don't pull out of NASCAR altogether in the not-too-distant future.  They are struggling in this economy, and NASCAR refuses to help them even though everyone knows they are at a disadvantage.  Why stay?

With the economy struggling as it is... ALL the Big 3 automakers struggling JUST to stay open... WOuldn't surprise me if in a couple years NONE of the manufactures are in NASCAR at all...
Let the Democrates get in total power with the House, Senate, and Presidency,.. and the country is going to suffer miserably

I never said one way or the other about politics and their effect on racing...

I've made a simple request...please leave politics in the infield and leave NASCAR Shop Talk for just NASCAR talk or I will have to start locking and removing threads.

But even you seem to miss the point...  The thread is about Dodge (or automanufactors in general) leaving NASCAR.  ANY reason that would cause them to do that is a legitimate reason to be discussed in the thread.  NOW<.. just because you personally may not agree with certain politics,.. that don't give you the right to delete or lock threads (moderator or not).  To do so would be an abuse of power...
Even that I am sure any logical person would agree with...

I'm just saying things have to get turned around and the right people have to be in office to help our economy, and they have to impliment the right policies to help the US Automakers.
If they aren't.. then of course they will have no reason to stay involved in the US Racing market... in ANY level.

I will not go back and forth with you in this thread.  The request was made, and it's not being followed.  If you'd like to discuss the politics of this, please move over to the Infield.

Politics ain't got nothing to do with it anyway.

The Big 3 are in the shape they are in because of simple GREED.

Ford is crying because the sales of Pickups, a high PROFIT product has hit the skids, while their sales of subcompacts has gone up almost as much as the pickups have gone down. The problem is that subcompacts have almost no profit margin. That is why the stock of Ford has lost 50% of its value in the LAST 3 MONTHS!!!

Doesn't anyone read my articles?  There is nothing Chevy Ford or Dodge in NASCAR anyway!  Its all BS.  When one shop can change from on manufacture to another, 2 weeks before the season starts, (R Gordon)  That should tell you something!  Wake up people! It already IS a kit car out there. Hendrick could change this week to Toyota and you would never know the difference.

Hey, its tuff times out there, even Toyota profits are down...Oops!  NOTE keyword PROFITS!!!!!!   The Big 3 wouldn't know a profit if it fell out of the sky, landed on their face and started to wiggle.

Wake up people and smell the coffee, (while we still have coffee to smell!)
