Supposed to be practicing at Road Atlanta...
I live no more than 10 minutes from there.  Might have to go over and see if I can check it out.

now now... just give 'em time...
All the Chevy teams have gotten together and whined enough that NASCAR has made mid-season changes and penalized Toyota and took away some of their power over in the NNS...
It's only a matter of time until the same thing happens on the CUP series...  CAN'T have anyone out running the Chevy bridage.

Been around racing for 30+ years.  This is nothing new.  Anytime ANY make came up with a way to outrun the bow-ties guys,.. NASCAR would ALWAYS (repeat that ALWAYS)... make rules to help the Chevies or penalize the other make.
This is nothing new.... As long as the Chevies have the most wins,.. everything is right with the world as far as NASCAR is concerned.

We didn't see NASCAR jump up and make any rules to penalize the Chevy cars when HMS and their crew of drivers were winning everything in sight the last couple years.... Oh NO   That was perfectly fine.... But let some make besides Chevy win,.. and NASCAR has to put it's finger in it and start "manipulating" things.

Even Chad Knaus has to have a bad year at cheating.

BUt he will hear 2008 Nascar Sprint Cup champion Roll Eyes
Chris hit the nail on the head though.  Nascar is ALL good when Chubby is winning and they will do something to try and even the field.  At this point there really is no reason immediately because Kyle has secured the #1 spot in the chase.  I would expect to see something in the next 4-5 weeks.  Although did you catch the interview with Junior?  He was talking about the HP his Chevy has!!!!!  Moreso since they tire tested there.  HMMMMMMMMMM Shocked

I think it's a little early to hand him the trophy...I hate the Chase, but it means that this is far from over...I think there's a certain No. 48 who's going to have a say in how this thing turns out.

The HP numbers are much closer in the Cup series than they were in Nationwide-the reason the 18 is winning is front end geometry.

Kyle Busch's Toyota in the Nationwide race was handling on a rail, he didn't need HP to win that race. But the change certainly brought the No. 20, and every other Toyota for that matter, back to earth.

Logano struggled more with his car than in any other race (he was running far better in the race he wrecked in than he did Sat night), James Buescher had his worst career run and one of the worst of the season in Braun Racing's No. 32, Leffler didn't come close to defending his win at ORP from 2007...seems that Toyota's teams may well have been using that extra HP as a crutch. Michigan will be the true test though.

I don't know how far I'd go with the Leffler statement...
True he didn't finish up front...
On the other hand he DID get to the front and was looking like he was going to run well until he got spun out...
After that when he got in the back of the pack in the second part of the race, he didn't have time to work his way threw the traffic to end up showing really how good he was.  IMO he was a top 5 car easy.

Mik Bliss looked good too (although not a Toyota)... but he was able to come threw traffic TWICE and get back to the top 5.  His car was on a rail also.  He spun early enough he had time to get back to the front.  If he hadn't spun at all he may of given Busch a run for his money.
