I could see BV bailing out on motorsports quickly once they figure out how deep a money pit it can be when things go bad.
I agree.. this is basically what I ineptly been trying to say on a couple other threads..
BV is just an "Investment" business, They could care less about racing. If being in racing makes them a profit, they'll stay in,... As soon as they see it's gonna be a losing proposition, they'll bail.
I always said I see that coming soon... definately before mid-season,.. if not sooner.
With PE / BV trying to merge with GEM, it looks like they want to get completely out of racing ASAP.
I think they quickly found out the old racing saying....
How do you make a Small fortune in Racing...
Start with a LARGE one...

If anything has made sense this year this was it.
It's funny that Sadler managed to get himself out of yates and know has managed to get himself released from GEM. Will he be the next NASCAR regualr to get to Mayfield status?

Well IMO in Mayfield's situation I think he let running his mouth get him his reputation that seemed to follow him, and thats whats got him in the situation he's in now.
First he had a bad spilt, and then EMS. That kinda thing follows you, and is one thing the other teams notice and want
NO
part of.
As far as Sadler, I think he's always had a good raport everywhere he's went, and split on good terms (at least publicly). SO If a ride becomes available I think he'll be in line to get it. We got two decent drivers with no rides right now... Sadler and Labonte. ON the next tier down I'd say would be Riggs, Raines, and Nemechek, but I don't see
ANY
CUP seats open for these guys in 2009. The rest of the guys would be lucky to get a NNS ride...

I believe Sadler will be in the 77 and Labonte the 41 when all things are said and done. They better get it done soon for the sponsors need to get their marketing budgets together with these drivers.

I hope Sadler goes to the 41 car if those are his two choices. I'm sorry, but I just want him in anything other than a Dodge................ I don't think the 77 team would be much different than the 19 team.
