Is there anything else needed to say about Kyle Busch?  I mean geesh.  The media and fans saying he is a miny slump and losing momentum and the kid won 2 races ago.  He already has the talent to get it done.  Why give him any more motivation?  Rick gave him that motivation when he let him go for Junior.  Unreal talent.

I was actually telling my husband today that Kyle has a very distinct chance of surpassing the modern era record for most wins in a single season.  If anyone has a chance in doing it, I'm afraid to say Kyle will be the one.

A slump is apparently having to stop for gas during a fuel mileage race and having a competitor hit one of your tires during the final pit stop of a race which keeps you from posting top 10s in both of those races.   Despite the fact that you won the two races proceeding this "slump".

Not even maybe gonna happen.  Jeff won 13 races in 98.  There are only 14 races left.  Kyle has won 8 so far.  You are telling me you think he is going to win at least another 6 which is 42% of remaining races.  Sorry, but that is just way beyond possible.  There are too many other good teams out there, including his team mates, Hendricks, and the Rousch guys.

Jimmie won 6 races in the final 11 last year. I don't think it's that far fetched that Kyle could accomplish the record.

I never said I think he is...I said I think he has the potential....and a VERY real chance.  As a former Jeff Gordon fan, I don't want to see his record go down and especially not to Kyle Busch, but it's a very real possibility that it'll happen.  Sure there are many other good teams, but those good teams just aren't dominating like Kyle Busch and crew have this year.
