Actually, Schrader would not have to give his blessing or "agree" to anything.  He can be released for any reason at any time.  He doesn't have to like it.  But it's a classless thing to do to him in any respect.  IMO, when Logano has as many top ten points finishes as Schrader, then you can kick Schrader out for him.  Until then, it's a lousy thing to do.

If you know Coach Gibbs he would get Schrader's blessing before something was done Wink

At least Junior and Schrader have the experience in the series.  How would it make Joey look toward the fans of the driver that got taken out whether it was because of something of Joey's doing or otherwise?  And especially if he ended up involved in a wreck that made a difference of whether a bubble driver made the chase.  TF20 is right...there's no need to rush his debut.  It'll come soon enough...Joey proved that in practice.

I didn't know if you caused an accident that your experience is the reason it's ok?  SO you are saying if Joey got loose because he was overdriving and took out, say Bowyer and Junior did the samething, it's different?  Ask Bowyer if Joey took him out of the chase or Junior took him out the chase by overdriving that it would make a difference who was driving the car Cool.   You always hear these drivers when they are taking out and feel slated that the driver is an idiot.  Just ask Mikey Waltrip at Bristol.  Clint gets in the mess because Mears spotter doesn't clear him correctly and listen to Clint's comments.

Experience doesn't make it okay to take someone out.  However, an experienced driver is less likely to drive it in too deep or to come off a corner too hot lap after lap.  They may do it once or twice, but then will back off before the wreck someone.  LEarning how deep is too deep and how hot is too hot can come ONLY with experience at each track-there is no substitute, no matter how talented the driver may be.

The other factor there is that Schrader or Junior would likely  back out to avoid ruining someone's Chase chances.  Both have said before that they's spin their own car before i taking someone out.  I like Joey, but I don't trust him to have the maturity to take care of others first.

I wasn't saying experience makes it ok.  What I'm saying is that it's just as easy for Schrader to do it as it is Joey, and either one would be bad.  What I'm saying is that Joey doesn't want to become a hated driver in the series before he even is competing full time.  Why rush him into a situation where a lack of experience racing in a pack with 42 other cars could cause him to take out a chase contender?  Why not let him work his way into the field (which we all know he can do)?

We will have to agree to disagree.  There was a lot today that affected chase drivers with experience so...  That said, that may have been one of the best races of the year we just witnessed.

I agree that it is a classless thing to do to Schrader. I was glad to see them let Joey wait a week and let Schrader race. He didn't (to my knowledge) cause the chasers any trouble.

It seems the real issue is having Wonder Bread making his debut in a Home Depot car.

They could have stuck HD stickers on that 96 car.  I expect Joey to be in the 02 this weekend

It's official.  02 withdrawn, Logano in the 96 at Loudon with HD sponsorship.

Insurance against another qualifying rainout?

Nope. JGR didn't want Wonder Bread lapping the entire field after 10 laps driving the #02 car.
