Kyle Busch is done. 20 laps into race 27, a sway bar breaks on the 18, and after kicking everyone's ass up and down the street for 26 races, Kyle Busch now has very little chance of winning the title. Wouldn't have been impossible to overcome without NASCAR's Big Points Giveaway, but as of now his spectacular season is pretty much ruined.

And guess what this former fan did? Straight to Blue Jays - Red Sox.

Well done NASCAR. CHASED away another driver's fans. Angry

I'm finishing out the year for the Frontstretch, and then I believe I'm done. I can't watch this utter farce anymore. And I will be slamming NASCAR so hard Big Bill is gonna turn over in his grave.  Shocked

How's your day going fans?

If the 18 is patient, gets it fixed and doesn't do anything stupid, they still have a very good chance of winning (not that I want them to). Jimmie Johnson won his first title after wrecking worse than Kyle did at NH and finishing 39th.  He was also wrecked by an overzealous teammate at Talladega and still won.

I hate the Chase, but nobody is out of it yet.

Persoanlly, I think it's just Karma catching up to Kyle for the way he's driven and acted this year... Grin

" but as of now his spectacular season is pretty much ruined."

This must be your first Chase, huh? Those that believe in his driving skills aren't worried at all.

Oh BTW..When you leave NASCAR to go back to watching baseball...take your foul attitude with you..and please, PLEASE don't let screen door smack you in the ass on your way out.

I remember a driver that won a Chase after losing his wheel in the final race... Roll Eyes  Overcoming a 100 pt. deficit in 9 races has been done before and can be done by any good driver with the skills Kyle has shown this year. Would I bet on him now? Maybe not vs. the rest of the field, but against any other particular Chase driver? Sure! Pick one.

The days of a driver building up a big lead, then coasting his way through the last 10 races is sooo OVER. NASCAR is going to advance this sport into the 21st century, like it or not. Surely there's a sport out there somewhere for you that still doesn't have a play-off system...yet.

Good luck and we'll miss your delightfully harsh criticism of our favorite sport.  Roll Eyes

Ah. As long as you answered my question. Tell you what...would you bet that Kyle scores more points than anyone by the end of the season, Chase excepted? I just might take that bet.

Yes...I keep forgetting NASCAR has to "grow"...they've done a great job of that, judging by all those empty seats and dropping ratings.

But thanks for the delightfully harsh compliment...I won't let you down.  Cool

I wasn't a fan when the "season" was over with ten races to go. (Even though it let me watch more football). I definately wasn't happy when consistent Kenseth wrapped up a championship with only one win.

Admittedly I'm a Kyle Busch hater anlong with a Kurt Busch hater. Want to see me scream at a TV, someone send a driver named Busch into a wall. It makes my race. Kyle has mad skills I don't deny that. A product of being able to drive an extremly loose and almost out of control car. Hench why Carl Edwards is also extremely fast. I'm happy to see Kyle have his lead erased. I don't think he has the maturity or class to be a nascar champion yet, no matter his skills.

If Jimmie wins his third championship in a row by having a red hot chase then I'm not sure what nascar should do, if anything.

I still think that winning is not rewarded enough (points) I feel the 10 point bonus should be 25. To the victor go the spoils. Then if someone runs away with the first 26 they have the better advantage of a mulligan in the chase without seeing a 180 point swing in the first race of the chase.

Ok Kurt. First of all, so NASCAR loses 3, five fans tops!  Big deal!

Second........Have you read any of my archived stuff?  I've been saying it is a farce for years, but I'm still here.   I've tried to quit for awhile but they wont let me!

Kyle isn' the first driver to dominate the regular season, only to see a huge points lead disappear and possibly a chance lose out on a Cup Championship. (I can't even say Nascar Sprint Cup Series).

How many Cup Championships would Jeff Gordon have now if not for The Chase format?

It sucks for Kyle, leaving Richmond having dominated the regular season. Points are reset for The Chase, the big lead is gone. Problem at New Hampshire, bada bing bada bang... 8th place. 74 points behind. No more starting on the pole if qualifying is rained out.

All season long I've heard "Kyle this" and "Kyle that". Comparisons to the late Dale Earnhardt, blah, blah, blah.

Guess what? It's time to see what the kid is made of. There's 11 other drivers that will have plenty to say about how this thing ends up.

The next nine races will tell me all I need to know about Kyle Busch.

YuP!
The test of fire ---     ---  hoping Kyle won't lose his temper.
If that ain't interesting, ........ what WOULD be?

Tune in to see Kyle succeed.
Or
Tune in to see Kyle fail.
It's bound to be a win/win for the fans,
and NA$CAR.

Love to hate 'em
Hate to love 'em.
Let's see what he's got on the last lap this season.

Now you're making me think NASCAR had an official sabotage Kyle's sway bar..

Just to make it fair for those other fellers.
