the next two weeks are going to be interesting

Well... MAYBE
NEXT week will tell the tail...
When Carl stated he just needed to be within 100 points going into Homestead,.. I think that is all wishful thinking.
For those of us that have been around for maybe years... an 100 point lead going into the last race is "almost" guaranteed a championship.
SO if Carl Won and got Max points by leading most laps, and was 100 behind most he could get would be 195
JJ could finish 22nd and get 97 points and never lead a lap.
IN effect he could just get out and "ride around"
Now I know yesterday he struggled, and had about as bad a day as he has had in a LONG time, and still finished 15th.

To have a "real" shot and make the day "interesting" Carl should get the lead down to less than 50.... maybe even 30.
For JJ to loose the championship... IMO I still think he needs to have a "something beyong his control" happen.  An accident of someone elses doing, a flat where he hits the wall, a motor problem, etc...
JJ still is well in the drivers seat...

They certainly are ! As Chris stated , Jimmy has it in the Bag as long as he does not have any problems. Cousin Carl though is on a roll , and the next two races he normally does well at . So Girly hold on to your knickers , it's going to get real interesting !  Wink

I just hope the Phoenix engine holds out this year...was heartbreaking last year to watch Carl blow an engine while leading....

Neither have lifted a championship trophy since. They've each sniffed it, they've each had miraculous season but neither have been able to lift that trophy again.

Actually, Wonderboy has hoisted one trophy since Ray Ray left the organization. Unfortunately for him, its been only one.

Depends on how you look at it.  He's about to win his seventh this year-four as a driver, three as a car owner.  Grin
