After all the broohaha last week of the Gilliland get back at JPM and the fallout.

So today I get to watch Matt Kenseth on the last lap get back at Dinger which then collects JPM and 8 other cars racing for position at the start finish line. All those wrecked cars need to loaded up and on thier way back to NC so the trucks can be turned around for Homestead. Oh and the "offseason" starts in 8 days.

Gilliland took out himself and JPM on the back strech at Texas.

Oh this is a no brainer. David's payback was far worse. The only thing that sucked about Matt's payback was that it collected more than just AJ and JPM.

NO doubt Kenseths was worse.... First of all... there was no point in it.  The race was over, so he didn't have any point in hitting AJ and wrecking him in the first place.  Why do ya wreck as guy as you hit the checkered flag...
Then you just had a Green/white/checkered restart, and you KNOW the rest of the field is stacked up behind you and will be piling in on the mess that Kenseth created because they are all bunched up.....
Just an idiotic move... WAY too many cars torn up for absolutely no reason.
If he had anything to say He should of just saw AJ after the race,.. or called him on Monday...
Now of course WE all knew AJ had already said he was sorry for casuing them to spin out,.. and MAYBE Kenseth didn't know that.
But often the driver will send a message to his spotter to go tell the OTHER spotter he is sorry... so maybe Kenseth HAD already gotten the message and just wanted to wreck him anyway..??  In any event, it was a dumb move.
At least after Gilliland had been jacked up two or three time by Montoya already... it was then he decided to hit Montoya.  Not after one incident... And I'll point out ALL the cars involved were racing on the lead lap when AJ got into then, and Allmendinger had 4 new tires, and was much faster than Kenseth and Stewart.  SO I'd say it could be a little over agressive on AJ's part... but they were all on the lead lap and it was just good hard racing...
With Gilliland... Montoya had a better car,.. and took delight in jacking up a lapped down car.  I don't blame Gilliland for punting him into the wall.

I'd like to point out that this week AGAIN Montoya wrecked Mears and caused a big pile-up... so Montoya running over people is nothing new.  I'd like to see MORE people put him wind-shield deep into the fence.  Maybe he'd learn to adjust his driving style a little and show a little respect for everyone on the track

They were equally bad, because either way, someone could have gotten hurt.  Retaliation with a racecar is never acceptable.

Matt was sneaky to wait til the last lap so NASCAR couldn't park him, and I hope they will not just let it slide.  Five laps at the green flag at Homestead should do it.

Matt never got the message that AJ said he was sorry. The only thing that was said on Matt's radio was to make sure that Tony knew it was not Matt who caused the wreck. Nothing was said to Matt and Tony for that matter that AJ said he was sorry so what are those guys supposed to think? Next time AJ needs to make sure his apology gets to the guys he actually wrecked instead of just his crew.

I think If NASCAR is going to do anything... It'll be during this week.  I don't think they'll carry it over to Homestead.

I think he was a little busy at the time.

I estimate Kenseth caused about $500,000 damage and put about 8-9 drivers lives at risk.

Gilliland took out Montoya.

You do the math.

He was to busy to tell his spotter to tell Tony's and Matt's spotter that he was sorry?? Gosh Matt made sure his message got sent to Tony and Jeff Burton made sure his message got sent to Tony both via the spotter.

I thought Matt was a more professional driver than that.

I'm a Matty fan and have watched him since him and JR battled two consecutive years together in Busch.

That was the thought that ran through my head when he did it.

Yeah.. I liked Kenseth even since he showed up at Peach State Speedway when I was an official there, and he was still a 'nobody' trying to make it in racing.
Like you said... I thought he was more professional than that...
