The boys in the Cup garage have had a long run of spending extravagantly that is quickly coming to an end. With the increasing lack of sponsorship dollars, teams are going to be forced to look at what they are spending their money on and work much harder at doing more with less. The last 20+ years have seen most of the big teams get whatever they want, whenever they want Now they're going to have to try and do it better with less, much like Yates racing did this past season. The haves are still going to have more than the have nots. It will be interesting to see if the gap widens or narrows next year.

The big teams will still have the money to spend.  The cream will rise to the top.  This is not going to change things other than to make a bigger discrepncy between the big and little teams and I am not sure how much further that can be.

You are so right, the big money is not going to be there!!!!   Even the big boys will be hurting.   I think that local tracks will gain,  people still want racing but won't be able to afford high ticket and travel prices.   It's "REALITY TIME"

I'll be happy if we still have a country by this time next year, not to mention nascar.
