Fixing California Speedway.................

Pretty much everyone's in agreement that it needs fixing, but no one seems to be able to agree on how to do it. Here's the dawg's take on something that I think would work. Brian says he "wants to return NA$CAR to it's roots." Unlike Brian, I'm somewhat a student of NA$CAR's roots. If I were the man behind the curtain, Ala the Wizard of Oz. (come to think of it, that's a nice analogy for King Brian, but I digress.) Here's what I'd try to fix this flop of a race track. Drum Roll please. I'd break up & remove the pavement. Find out what kind of dirt they had on Ascot Speedway. Put that down, & bingo. Modern day NA$CAR meet your roots. They'd have the most anticipated race in years. Talk about buzz. Then if they still couldn't sell it out. Well the pavement is already gone. just bulldoze it flat. Take down the grandstand, & sell the property. If it did work, then they'd have a venue for WoO, CRA, put in some jumps, run the TT Trucks. If the promoter is as good as everyone says she is, then they could put this puppy on a paying basis. We all know this can't happen, but I can dream!

Tony Stewart Said A few years ago The Cup drivers should run a dirt track. I agree it would sell out every year

Sadly, that was already tried...it simply resulted in a three day delay...we're dealing with some very determined people here.
