Won't matter as Smoke gets his first win as an owner
Maybe I should stick to Keno

Well that race wasn't everything it was cracked up to be. About the only thing that could have been predicted was that Junior will get to mid field and not be able to adjust on the car anymore and settle for a teen finishing position.
Kyle was the class of the field and Kurt got hurt by someone else's mess. Harvick looked horendous. He should have stolen his shocks off his own NNS car and would have finished bettter. Edwards was a non factor all day and it looked like Gordon was going to fall way off to only come back at the end and solidify a top 5 run. Jimmy Looked better than he has all year. Mark Martin looked solid and was tough in the end. Burton impressed me the most fighting forward all day long. KK had a flash of brillance and then over adjusted the car. Tony just couldn't grab that lucky dog all day long. Where Ryan Newman finished 7th notching his first top ten in his new #39 car.
Speed was a moving road block all day long and Joey allthough got a lap down remanied only one lap down the entire race until loosing an engine late in the race. Also loosing an engine was Greg Biffle and Marcos Ambrose dropped a cylinder late that cost him a possible top 5 run. I believe that Joey will be in 34th in owner points heading to Martinsville next week, a track where he has never raced at.
While the two grooves improve the overall racing at Bristol the only big contact today was JPM knocking Jamie Macmurray around and Kyle pulling a bump and run on his teammate Denny Hamilin after Jimmy Johnson jumped out a 2.5 second lead. Kyle quickly ran down Jimmy and resumed the lead proving he had the faster car.

that was a very boring race IMO. It was about as good as Cali IMO. But on to Martinsville. Kyle was the class of the field and deserved the win. Not much to say honestly although Joey has raced the Ville before. That is where Mark martin first saw him and said he is going to be great. If he can get some luck he will be fine. Taken out at Daytona and Atlanta and blew an engine today. he would be around 28th or so without the bad luck. It will turn around for him. Nice to see Mark Martin have a nice solid run and I think the HMS boys will have Ville covered among the 4 of them. Junior continues to struggle and if not for some phantom cautions may have finished worse than he did.

I got the Joey Logano nugget about not racing at M-ville from the fox broadcast. So I guess I should have checked my source.

I'm curious when Joey raced at Martinsville because I just checked. He didn't in ARCA, Trucks, Nationwide or Cup. 20FL could you enlighten us please?

I'm kind of disapointed in the 14 team this weekend. The car wasn't the greatest but I do think it was better than 17th. The driver and the pit crew just kind of screwed it up. The pit crew really needs to work on making major adjustments without losing so much time on pit road. And the driver admitted himself that he made some bad lane chosses. I just expect that team to run top 5 top 10 every weekend.

I have to agree with 20forLagano that Bristol was pretty boring. I say that with some hesitation because last time I called a race boring (Calif) my fanhood got questioned (LOL). It wasn't horrible but not up to the standards of the old Bristol. I heard several comments coming out of the track about how it was just ok. Even the after race PRN call in show had overwhelming comments about it not being the old Bristol. Not sure what is happening, but something needs to change.

That's exactly how I felt. Even the spins than happened didn't take out other cars. Really the only carnage was Kurt and Kevin getting some metal crumpled in a brake check.

He raced in a legends car when he was 12 years old. That is when Mark Martin first saw him.

My post was about Tony not Joey.
