I'VE said since the chase was formed that to crown a true champ there should be a road coarse in the chase

Definitely. You should prove yourself on all type of tracks to be crowned as a true champion. NASCAR should mix things up and not have 75% of cookie cutter tracks in there. I am all up for a dirt track too.

Of course!! If there is 1 in the first 26 races then there needs to be one in the last 10. I think to be crowned you need to be able to preform on all type of tracks. I mean if the Glen on Sunday took place during the Chase just think about the points hit alot of guys would have gotton. And a dirt track would be an awesome idea.

well... I think we nead ANOTHER road course race on the SCHEDULE...
have two in the first 26, and
one more
in the last 10.
SO I say YEAH,.. we should have a roady in the chase.
Also... Look at ALL the tracks that are alike and in the chase...
Take for instance Atlanta, Texas, and Lowes... If those aren't three tracks that are just about identical, I don't know what is...
Drop one of those and throw in a roady in it's place.
I think we should have as many DIFFERENT tracks in the chase as possible...
A roady, a Bristol, a Pocono, an Atlanta, a N.H., A Homestead, A Dega, A Dover, A Martinsville, and Kansas/Chicago type track (or a Michigan)
Atlanta/Texas/Lowes are all to much alike to have them all in the chase,.. as is N.H, and Phoenix.

I say YES, but NO road course bandits. To run you should have raced on an oval that year before racing the car on a road course. Also I feel that the Busch Wacker should only be allowed to start in the last 6 places and be allow to complete for the championship.

I can see where you "heart" may want to do that,.. but logically you just can't do that. There are to many variable that come up late in the season.
Lets look at a team like RYR that is bringing in a new guy... Often that is the case late in the year,... so it could happen that a road course race is their first race of the season. Trying to make to rule to counteract one thing,.. could have a greater adverse effect in another.
Also,.. as far as points,.. Roadys count the same as, Daytona, Dover, or any other race,.. so teams will be pushing to get their car into the top 35 in points,... or just MOVE up in the points so they can finish higher and get more money. Can't really penalize a team when they were allowed to use a road course specialist early in the season,.. now in the last one they can't.
I just see it as being consistent.

I say a big amen to the sentiment, but unfortunately, NASCAR pretty much timed the North out of the chase. I'm not sure you could count on good enough weather for a track like NHIS or Pocono after mid-September.
As for the road course ringers, there's all the reasons Chris said... but then there's also this - except for those front 10 drivers, these last 10 races are just the continuation of the regular season. The chase is nothing special for 11th on back. (Well, maybe 12th on back - it totally screws over 11th place) so to add odd rules to it would simply be silly. It would be like making up a totally different set of rules for, say, the first Dover race as far as the teams who'd actuall be affected by this are concerned.

I get your drift...
The weather could play an issue,... I was just getting at have as many differnt TYPES of tracks as possible. Instead of N.H> they could run Phoenix, (same 'type' of track; flat, one mile)... Instead of Kansas they could run Vegas. ( again same type track)
Pocono could still be run,... instead of running N.H. the first week,... just run Pocono.. weather probably better in PA then NH.... and as far as Michigan,.. they could throw in a CA or even Darlington (wouldn't it be nice to see the old Lady in black be a part of the chase)
HAIL,.. why don't I just run this thing.. HAHAHHAA
Of course I DOUBT if ol Brian would like that. I would be trying to make racing better, give fans what they want,... that kinda thing... NOT worry about lining ol Brians pockets

Chris: Don't say they can't do as I suggested. NASCAR can do anything they want to and the ownersor drivers have NO say. Exapmle moving the Southern 500 to California, and moving the other races around. They are only interested in MONEY not anything else. NASCAR doen't care about the fan anymore. That is the true fan not the new groupies.

I know what you are saying...
But what you are saying in your LAST post,.. and what you said previous is comparing Apples and Oranges.
rearranging schedules, etc has the same EFFECT on
ALL
the teams...
keep out 'specific' drivers only effects
SOME
teams,.. so that what I was getting at.
