Kenny Wallace plans to run full-time in Cup and Busch in 2007:
From kennywallace.com: Note to Fans – “Howdy all, I would just like to let you all know that everything with Kenny Wallace is still great.  I will drive the #78 car next year full time in Cup, the #22 next year full time in Busch and still do my normal SpeedTV duties.  I will say the phone has been very busy today with offers of full time BGN and Cup ride offers, but I am more then happy with my current teams and am glad I will be running a full season with each.   Everything is good people!   And thanks for everything, you are the best fans in racin.   See you at the track!” AND "Andy O'Hara from PPC called me last night to inform me that AutoZone [Wallace's Busch Series sponsor] will not be returning next year on any race car full time. AutoZone felt that it was best if their advertising budget was best spent on commercial spots instead of on a race car.

After completely reading the article,... I was thinking the Heading should have been more like "Wallace to have LOTS of free Sundays".
unless the #78 teams steps it up a WHOLE LOT between now and 2007,.. that team is gonna miss a LOT of races.  It's a rare occurance when they make the field now,.. and add in all these new Toyota teams in 2007,... and the lower 'marginal' teams will hardly ever make the field.

No sarcasm intended, but has Kenny ever driven for a team with good equipment?  Everyone loves his personality, but does he have the skills?  I thought he did a good job of repping for Stacker 2.  Those commercials were actually funny.  I've only been a NASCAR fan for about 10 years, but I don't recall ever seeing him finish near the front of any race.  I'd love it if everyone was a great driver and great equipment, but that isn't the world we live in.  I feel for the sponsors who invest in Kenny and don't see him on the track.  I sure hope it don't work out like that.  Of course, with all the new cars in the field there are going to be a lot of situations like that.  Just watch, I wonder if NASCAR starts selling 43 licenses to drive, instead of having to worry about qualifying to make the field.  I can see qualification for placement in the race, but sponsors are not going to stand for paying for 36 races and only being in half of them.

aaahhh. yes indeed grasshopper
I seem to remember Kenny drove a few races for Roush (seems like) in top notch equipment.  He put that car up front and had it there all day....
Made a wonderful showing for himself.

Like you said,.. shame Kenny just can't seem to get in a GOOD ride so he can SHOW what he can do.  I think he is MUCH better then he is given credit for.

He also drove for DEI inc. in the #1 car when Steve Park got hurt. I'm not sure how many races but I know he finished out that season and I think he started the next season but I'm not sure.

When Kenny ran the 1 car for Park, he had several good runs.  In fact, if the points were calculated from his first race in the car (Southern 500) to the end of the season, he was easily top ten (6th during that time period).  Had he run the full next season in that car as he was originally slated to do, he'd easily have at least one Cup win IMO.  Also, the Furniture Row cars will run Hendrick engines in the future, I believe, which should make a difference in their qualifying efforts.  Kenny is one heck of a nice guy, but he's also a heck of a race car driver.

I HOPE he can do SOMETHING with his CUP ride,... he's gonna be up against a tall order with all these new teams coming in.
He'll still be behind the 8-ball being that he is driving for a single car team,.. and competing against multi-car teams...

I wish him well... especially since he is sponsorless on the BGN series again.

Too bad he couldn't get on Waltrips Toyota team... what a team of "mouths"...
