Hey! I know last week was something of a bust...what with all the rain and the post-poned race date. But...there's no time like the present to start anew.
Come join the party at The Checkered Flag Tavern 1:30PM for the Dover Cup race! It's in our own chat room. Just click on CHAT in the upper right hand corner of this page and you're in!
You got something to say? Say it!
Simple rules: No flaming. No spamming. Keep it PG-13.
I'll be there serving up the beverages and trivia to pass the time when the caution flies. You will be talking with other avid race fans!
See you there!

Boy, what a day I has last Sunday !!!!! I'm watching the Indy 500 keeping one eye on the clock for 5 pm so I could get into the Frontstretch chat room on time.
Ten laps to go and we get the thunderstorm from Hell and of course my power goes off before the race ends. So I call up Rustyfan2 (You remember him right ?The guy I work for who was always trying to sell his land to NASCAR for a New York track. Well he finally sold it to someone else so I guess NASCAR is out of luck.
Well anyway, I call him up to see if i could watch the end of the race at his place and with the kind of day I was having, of course Rebecca answered the phone and as usual when she picks up the phone all I heard was dead air because as usual she never can think of what to say. Anyway I finally say "Rebecca can I come over and watch the end of the race" ??...Well she says sure as long as I pick up a few things at the store on my way. Like milk, cheese, butter tuna, hamburger hot dogs, rolls, cottage cheese, pickles, silver polish, shoe laces, a new frying pan, curtains and a rolling pin. Well, needless to say I missed the end of the race. I had to haul ass just to get over there for the start of the coke 600.
First time in my life I get a flat tire half a mile from their house. I get out of the car and take a short cut through a field so I could make it on time. Next thing you know the heel comes off my shoe because I stepped right in the gooiest pile of cow poo you've ever seen !!!! Woe is me.
I finally make it to their house just in time to find out there might be a slight rain delay in Charlotte. Like maybe a day or two !!!! I use their computer to see what's going on in the Frontstretch chat room only to see that everybody has left because of the weather delay.
Meanwhile back at my car a certain police chief had my car towed away because it was a traffic hazard. Who tows it ,you say
?? Why the place I work at of course because our brand new driver didn't recognize it until he towed it off !!!!
Maybe I'll see you this week !!!!!!!

Well supposed to be sunny in Delaware the next few days after the stupid rain tonight. Looks like the race will actually run Sunday.
