Kevin Harvick thumbs his nose at NASCAR's authority and wrecks a driver in a Truck series race at Martinsville, Va., in 2002 and gets parked for the next day's Cup race. After getting wrecked by Dale Earnhardt Jr. while leading Saturday's Busch race with a lap to go, Carl Edwards drives around the track, hits Earnhardt Jr.'s car and then makes an visit to Victory Lane and he races Sunday? Hardly seems fair.

I'd say there are conservatively 20 times a year when one driver will knock another out of the way and NASCAR virtually always looks the other way.  Remember, Jr. is known for doing things he knows others would never get away with.  Remember Bristol when he was about to get lapped and he spun out so he could bring out the caution?  He'd of gotten away with it if he hadn't bragged about it on the radio.  NASCAR HAD to do something about it then.  You have to admit that was kind of funny.  I didn't like what he did, but the whole thing made me laugh.

Carl Edwards seems to be everyones favorite target this year.  I was at Pocono and saw him get hit by Tony, with my own eyes.  Wrong place at the right time.  Still and all, I think he's as good natured about it as someone could be.  I just wish for one night that we could get Tony and Carl to go to Vegas and fight UFC.  That would be fun!

Kevin Harvick, I believe, was already on probation for multiple incidents after wrecks where he blew up and went after other drivers. Carl has 2, count them, 2 incidents now. One more, and he's likely looking at probation, or he'll get probation in the Busch series only...and if it continues, THEN they'll park him. But this incident won't result in that.

You're absolutely right SMOKEN!
That "hardly seems fair" at all. But there he was -- Carl Edwards, out there
racing around when he should have been parked by NA$CAR and not allowed
to race with civilized drivers.

Put Carl where it's reserved for bone-headed drivers only. Make him sit on the same bench -- right next to Tony, in the penalty box.........which, I hear, Tony has had time to do Homie Depot improvement projects on during his long stays there.
Lookin' good too!

Tony got into it so much that he traded in his monkey, ...... for a 'carpenter dog'.
Yup.
A carpenter dog.
Does a job on the floor,...........then,
makes a bolt for the door.

yeah,.. you need to get your facts straight Smoken...
once again those 'rose colored glasses' only let you see the side you WANT to see.

As far as Harvick / Edwards incidents you are comparing apples and oranges.

BB is right Harvick WAS already on probation BEFORE that happened,.. and (just so you know) Harvick DID NOT get parked for what he did ON the track... He got PARKED for disobaying the orders of a NASCAR official in the CTS race.
Basically his hiney got to big for his britches,.. and he tried to "Show up" the powers that be in Nascar... THAT is why he got parked for Sundays race.  Nothing else.

I was there working on pit road for my crew that weekend,.. and I know what went on.

Far as Edwards,...  Funny how EARNHARDT crashes the guy,.. could have hurt him,.. wrecks him on the last lap (just drove right THROUGH him)
Uhh.. From what they tell us in the Nascar drivers meeting.... The quote kinda goes like this "The leader has the 'race line'... it is the overtaking cars responsibility to pass safely and avoid an incident"
Did Jr do that,.. not just no,.. but HELL NO.
He just flat punted him because he KNEW that was the only way he was gonna win..

SO Jr (because he is one of nascar's "Chosen") gets a free pass while nascar looks the other way,.. and Edwards comes off looking bad,...
Funny how that happens.  Guess when folks refuse to see the "whole" picture you'll have that.

Like those of us with open minds EXPECTED..
Nothing more than a fine and probation in the BGN series for Edwards...
As it SHOULD have been...
Anything else would have been overkill,.. and OUT OF LINE with what has been done to other for the same type thing in the past.
