I can see the thinking...
I know it used to be that Harvick ran MUCH better in the CUP series when he also ran in the NNS... BUT that was before the CoT.
Now There is so much difference between the CoT and the NNS cars, IMO I think it can HURT guys that run in both trying to swap back and forth from one to the other... especially younger drivers.

 Darn near ruined Kyle Busch.

I was just getting at that especially the second 1/2 of this season I have heard LOTS of announcers (and confirmed by drivers) that swapping back from one style of car to the other is getting more and more difficult.
I typically watch all of the practice and qualifying for CUP and NNS so it seems it usually comes up on companion races.
Seems like every new generation of CoT the teams develope it gets a little further away from the NNS car.

Busch,.. that kid could jump out of a CUP car and in to ANYTHING else and never miss a beat
