Livin' Large... Lovin' Life

We today we hear another Sponsor is pulling out of NASCAR
This time it is Jack Daniels.
Last week it was Jim Beam...
Before it's been Dewalt....
The economy is shopwing signs of improvement,.. yet major teams are dropping out

I know there are others announced in the recent past... who else??

I guess on the good side we DO have GoDaddy expanding from NNS to CUP series..
And Furniture Row back on a full time schedule

It's like I told someone the other day.  They said "I'll be glad when the economy recovers and we get back to the way it used to be"
I said,.. "Never again will it be "the way it used to be"  Those days are gone".
I guess it's entirely possible the same things could happen in NASCAR.  Companies try to lean down, and teams expenses keep increasing,.. so major teams decide to go other ways with their advertising dollars.

There's a report from Ray Dunlap that Con-Way freight will sponsor Johnny Benson for a full season next year in the CWTS. Con-way currently sponsors Colin Braun and Rousch. Rousch has announced he's closing his truck shop at the end of this year.

That's actually what I'm writing about this week.  It makes sense that Conway Freight would be looking for a place to go since we've known for most of the season that the truck program at Roush is going away at the end of the season when Colin Braun moves to NW.
