We had a great time a the RBC Center last night. Met a few Ottawa fans at the Backyard Bistro prior to the game. They even sell poutine. We ate a pound of steamed peel-and-eat shrimp and pounded a few pints. Ended up getting in a traffic snafu which caused us to miss out on the free Eric Staal bobbleheads. Evidently, there were more than 10,000 fans at the game. Got to see the Olympic medals (all four) on display. I scored some great tickets (again) lower level premier. Trying to find some tickets for the Pittsburgh game on the 11th. Already have tickets for the Capitals on the 18th.

With 19 games left, can the Hurricanes make it into the playoffs? They'd only be able to lose 4...

With the way the Canes are playing , I would start setting up your Playoff Seating Arrangements Bro ! They are as I said on a Roll ! As for my Senator's they still are having Goaltender Isues .  Currently in Second just a out of 1st , but just cannot find consistantly "Good" Goaltending ...as we all know in the Playoffs you must have Good or Great Netminding to extend your Playoff Drive . Well Time will Tell , but I would put Money on Your Canes making the Quarter Finals at the Very Least !

Great Player in Staal , Great Future !  Yeah the Gold Medals were Really Cool !  Wink

I'll ask this here in the hockey room to see what some fans of the sport think. What was the worse hit Sunday, 1) Edwards against Kes., or 2) Cooke's elbow to the head against Mark Savard Sunday that left Savard probably out for a while and the Bruins going to miss the playoffs probably. Just curious, as all the Edwards talk got me thinking of this.

Exactly SJG ! Cooke has a History of rather Cheap Tactics . I can't believe that he got off almost scott free ! I guess the Enforcers will even the Score , since the NHL  decision to wait till someone is actually killed by one of these Flagrant Head Shots !  Apparently they are going to set up a Adhoc Committee to Study the recent outbreak of Head Related Hits and Sustained Injuries , Hell they have done this previously , Sad !!!

Wow. I just got home from the RBC Center. What a game !!!

It started raining as I was getting off of work. I get home, grab my tickets, put on my jersey (the black one), and go pick Marie-Anne up. That's the easy part.

We get on the Beltline and traffic is a mess. Rain. WTF??? So I lose about thirty minutes of "I should be sittin' at the bar" time. Anyhow, we made it to the Bistro. Place was packed. Full of...Pittsburgh fans. Anyhow, I  was desperate for a beer and found a spot at the bar for us. SIDE NOTE: I told this a-hole his laptop didn't warrant a f'n bar stool. We were hungry, thirsty, and I needed a beer.

There were more Pittsburgh fans than Carolina. DISTURBING.

Anyhow, we ate mini tacos and steamed shrimp. Drank a few pints.

Inside the RBC Center, once again, I noticed the Pittsburgh presence. More so, when they went up 2-0 early on.

Anyhow, what a game. After losing in OT last night to Washington, we WON tonight in OT against the Penguins.

 Not bad for redneck hockey.

I've got tickets next week against the Capitals on the 18th.

I wish My Senators were on a Goaltending Hunt ! They lost again last night to a Hot Goalie (Kiprosoff) for Calgary 2-0 . The Calgary Goals were soft as far as I'am concerned , oh well happy your team Won CBE !  Smiley

Hey Nice Pic's Bro ! Good to see that your maintaining your Electrolyte Levels , would not what you to get dehydrated
during the Game lol .

P.S. At the current level of Play of my Senators they will be hard pressed to make the Playoff's . Two points out of 1st two weeks ago , today in 5th 23 out of 1st . Ouch what a difference a few weeks makes . Hell when I watched the Leafs Game last night during our Men's  Pub League Billiards , I almost lost it when they Make  Me Laughs went ahead 3-0 !
Keep the Faith Bro...Ty !

We're not gonna make the playoffs. Boston rolled over us last night. We've got the Capitals tomorrow night. I'll be there, although Ovechkin is suspended. Kinda wanted to se him play "live". The Capitals still got it done Sunday against Chicago. I'm impressed with some of our young players brought up (down) from the Albany River Rats.

Let me go earn some beer money.

I'll give Elliott credit...he's played extremely well against the Flyers this season with two shutouts

But Volchenko should have been called for boarding Gagne

Your Right SJG. "V" certainly should have been given a minor penalty for the Hit . Although I don't think it was intent to injure , he did cross the line . I see him as an intense defence man who has to be reeled in at times .
