I said it at the beginning of the year JJ was winning this thing again and last night was the dagger.  They all fighting for 2nd.  Congrats to the 48 bunch for acheiving another first last night, winning from the pole at Lowe's.

Well 20fL, I don't know if I agree with all that, but I will say, that was some pretty good racin last night.

As for the JJ winning the Cup.......well, like they said last night, in the history of the chase, the winner of last night's race has never gone on to win the Cup.  Me, I don't care. Just have to wait and see, I reckon!

JJ winning the title again this year will be a nail in Nascars coffin I wouldn't be surprised to see nascar find something to penalize the 48 team for just to make sure he doesn't win

That's what the site is for Skool, to offer an opinion Wink.  JJ will need to have a BIG problem for them to catch him.

I think that's why Rick is having NASCAR take the #5 and #48 each week regardless of thier results. He's getting ahead of them. If it's the 8th race and Jimmie's is really running away with it something fishy coming out. Here he'll be able to put it all on NASCAR. Either way it's a win win for him (if Jimmie wins).

I agree it's Jimmys to lose ! The way he a Chad are setting up the car its perfect right of the Hauler , well almost ! Martinsville and Dega will be the turning point id JJ can point race his way through those two he should have it in the Bag !  Wink

P.S. I cannot believe the poor performance Cousin Carl has going ! The Chase has been a disaster for him ! Jack is going to shake up that Team for next Yr. Carl's way better than his record to date. It was nice to see Kenseth run up front this week , Biffle made a brief showing , but all in all Roush Racing has had a disappointing season !

I'd have to agree with this, too.  If JJ doesn't wreck or blow up in the remaining races, it's hard to imagine anyone overtaking the 48.  The short track and the plate race are the ones where trouble is most likely to find him.

When the chase started, I figured the only teams with a real shot were the 48-5-14 and possibly the 24.  So far, the 48-5-14 combination is 5 for 5, and the 24 is just lurking like I expected.  JPM was the only one who was throwing a monkey wrench into my forecast, but I think you can cross him off the contenders list now.

It would be the upset of Nascar Historical Proportion bigger than Bill Elliot's when Jaws stole the title , for JJ to Lose the Championship now ! The Race is for second between The Silly Old Man and Gordo ! My moneys on Mark he has good history of seconds lol !

JJ could have one disasterous race and still win the title... so figure the odds of the 48 team screwing up in two out of the last three races, and there's your shot of someone else being the 2009 champ.

NASCAR might have to start a new award for the best performance by a team not owned by Rick Hendrick.
