Same here BB , remember when a fatality occurred and the Bar owner and Waitress were both charged with serving a person who left the Bar was involved in a Fatality DUI. Pretty steep , considering that Bar had no control of the Driver who may well of called a cab or had someone else pick him up outside the Bar. Just shows again that at least in Ontario
the Zero Alcohol Tolerance is Serious ! I know I'am probably Preaching to the Choir since the majority of people are like you and I BB we have all done something stupid , but were lucky enough to get away with it without consequence !
It is only when people especially celebrities get the same chance at keep doing the same thing since they feel they are above or better than others that erks me , Michael Waltrip apparently is one of these people , .05 is Impaired whether legal in Carolina or not ! But as Skool has indicated we have pretty well Beat this Horse to Death or at the very least revived him !  Wink Cheesy

If .00 means you're not impaired and .08 gets you locked up, .06 means you're pretty close to going to jail. That field sobriety test and the initial alcohol sensor really has no bearing if he had been taken to the police station for an official BAC reading. IMO, Mike was lucky.

CodeBlue, that was my reaction.  He may have been legal at .06, but it's a little too close for comfort... especially with all the questions about the 2007 episode.

NAPA has been a very loyal sponsor, following MW over from DEI when he started his own team, sticking with him thru the DNQ's of the early going, the Daytona fuel tampering scandal, the previous off-roading excursion and vanishing act that followed.  No need to test them again, in an environment where so many teams are without full time primaries.

Worse yet, what if Toyota got nervous and pulled factory support?  MWR was supposed to be their lead team when 'Yota came to Cup, but with Gibbs in the now fold there's no reason the couldn't cut the strings and sign up some other team that might be open to a manufacturer change.
