Well, Martinsville was a pretty good race, but what's with no yellow for John Andretti's stalled car on the final lap?  Is it now an unwritten rule that we'll race to the checkers, unless the track is blocked to the point where it's simply not an option?

The #34 was certainly in a place where everyone could easily miss it if they were in control of their cars, but with all the beating and banging on the last lap of a short track race, it's certainly within the realm of possibilty that someone would get bounced down toward the apron in the chaos and collect Andretti in the process.

This is the second time in recent weeks a driver has been left as a sitting duck.  JJ was clearly not going to catch Hamlin, so a caution would not have had any effect on the outcome.

Your thoughts?

I totally agree. Nascar left Andretti out there in a bad spot. I can see them waiting to see if he could get refired, but once Denny got to the end of the backstretch Nascar should have thrown the yellow

This is the same incident that happened at New Hampshire. and once again NASCAR got it wrong. It kills me that they'll throw a caution for a piece of rubber or a water bottle but hey lets park a 3400 lb race car sideways and we'll just hold the caution and maybe put it out. There's a reason why you get one shot at a GWC. It's because drivers loose thier minds getting up on the wheel.

I got to watch an old Rockingham race from 1990 last week. Darrell Waltrip spun in traffic with two to go. The race finished under yellow. And I didn't feel ripped off. Dale Sr. won his Daytona 500 under yellow and I didn't feel ripped off.

Maybe it's time for NASCAR to revoke the GWC! Maybe then so many drivers won't put thier car into a bad postion with 8 or less laps to go?
