Well, crap.  She's coming over.  I'm sure JR Motorsports is rubbing their hands in anticipation of the  that will be flying into their coffers next year.

I...I just want to  sick

I *know* the NNS coverage will be sinking to new lows while we watch her primp in front of the cameras.  yuck

Yep, it's going to be interesting to see Danica in NW. Laughed out loud at the little hurl face. Iam talking about the little icon, not Danica.  Shocked

I hope the TV broadcasts use plenty of her scanner traffic.

I watched a wee bit of her in open wheel, and the conversation was something like this:  I DON"T KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THE CAR, JUST MAKE IT FASTER... THAT'S YOUR JOB!

Yeah, that's going to go over well with the good ole' boys who crew for her.  Cheesy

Maybe this is why Kryle Busch is cutting back his NW races next year he's afraid Danica might open up a can of whoop ass on his candy ass  Grin

Danica needs NASCAR a whole lot more than NASCAR needs Danica.  Check out my column on Friday for my thoughts.  If you're a Danica fan, you might want to skip it.

I would pay to be there the first time she gets pissed off at Shrubbie and goes a-lookin' for him, though.

I am very and I mean extremely sad that her highness, I mean, Danica, is coming to NASCAR.  I was hoping that all the bluster of the last few years was just that and that it would not come to pass.  I think she'll be as successful as Brian Bosworth was for the Seahawks or Ryan Leaf was for the Chargers.  She is just NOT cut out of the cloth that a decent NA$Car driver has to be made of.  I've seen drivers cry before (Martinsville after they found out about the crash) and I've seen drivers complain (every Bristol race) but can you imagine the new heights that will happen the first time that someone nudges her and she ends up in a big one?  She feels entitled to special treatment and flying down the frontstretch on your roof isn't her idea of that.  Think of Jeff Gordon hitting the wall hard at Pocono in 06.  Now think her miss special doing the same.  This is going to be ugly, folks.  That's Ugly with a capital Ugh!

The worst part about it is that in every Nationwide Series race she enters, what little broadcast time was spent on the REAL Nationwide drivers in between fawning over the Cup guys will now be focused on Danica, leaving the REAL Nationwide drivers out in the cold.  What little incentive their sponsors had to stick around is now diminished even further, leaving the racers who actualy make their LIVING from this series instead of using it to inflate their bruised little egos or as a "look at ME!" publicity deal wondering where their jobs went.  It won't be all Danica's fault, buther impact on the series will certainly not be all positive.

Actually, I don't think she will be around nascar all that long. I think she will find a very "cool" reception among the fans in general, especially once she goes off and gets all pissy about some racing incident.  You have to remember, in open wheel, she aint used to other cars beating and banging against her. Juablo was able to successfully make the transition because he is roughly 1000 times more talented than Danica.

No, I think she will find that nascar just aint to her liking.

I think she knows that already but she is going to make a boat load more money coming over and Nascar makes a killing.

Oh most definately. But us stupid fans will see all that too and lose (if possible) even more interest in nascar as a whole. In the end Danica and nascar only screw themselves.

I mean, with the whole 'Danica saga' being as drawn out as it has been (like the B Favre deal) folks are just praying she will fail. Its already proven to be just a big publicity stunt.

I cannot wait for her inaugural race ! She has a rude awaking coming her way ! This ain't Kansas Sister ! JPM has had his ass handed to him on more than one occasion , so Danica will have to learn the same way ! If she plays her cards right the transition may be less pain full , bit then from what I have seen Danica is not your typical quick learner lol !

10-4 Skool.  I hope with this flop and JJ winning 4 in a row us fans show Nascar things need to change and in a hurry.  I am beginning to want to watch Football and Hockey on Sunday more because I know those games are going to be more interesting.

The only way anyone can prevent JJ from winning so many races and championships is change the tracks we race on to ones he's not nearly as good at....but who wants to watch the majority of the races be road course races???  Wink Grin
