Danica Patrick has reached a deal to enter NASCAR with JR Motorsports

"What about us real NASCAR fans who are being yelled at that we have to accept this. Are we shrew's if we don't buy what they are selling? Are we NASCAR incorrect if we find ourselves more interested in football than racing because of our attitudes of seeing the game change before our eyes? I'm not there yet, but I worry about the next couple of years. The tradition of NASCAR has piece by piece been decimated already. Now you throw this at us... well, it's just tough to handle. Not because she is a woman. No, I'd love to see a deserving woman or minority do well in our sport. That would be a good story. I just wish it could have happened to a nicer person."

It's not about "us" anymore. You either accept that fact, or move along.

Since I've been involved with this site, there hasn't been much (if any) support for the direction NASCAR has been heading. We've discussed, debated, bitched, moaned...

Why are we here? Why the hell am I here? How long do you "wait it out" for things to change? Plenty of folks have already headed for the exit sign.

I despise greedy folks, whether it's an individual or a mega corporation.

NASCAR has become a smoke and mirrors entity. Instead of selling what "we" want, they're selling dog **** in a bag to folks with deep pockets. The clueless folks about NASCAR. The quick buck.

GREED.

We're gonna be okay. I've got an autographed bottle of "Midnight Moon" on my closet shelf. I gave a bottle to my dad, for Christmas, 2 years ago. Today, I told my dad, "WTF. Let's take a drink. Holdin' on to these autographed bottles..."

"Well, it's just damn GREEDY."
