LIke you all point out..
It seems Vickers health is the key to where everyone lands.
MM I think is all set to stay in the #5...
If Vickers gets back to full health, I agree, and think Speed will have go looking for a ride.
If Vickers ISN'T healthy,.. things stay as is and Kahne just steps into the #83.

I agree with Amy.. the solution you provided makes the best sense all the way around.

Chris, the only problem with that scenario is that Vickers won't be cleared (or not) until November.  While I wouldn't be exactly sorry for Speed (Karma and all that), it's pretty unfair to make him wait until November before giving him an answer, which would make it awfully hard to find a job for next year if Vickers gets the go-ahead.  Kind of a crappy thing to do.

Another interesting twist, there's no indication Red Bull will switch manufacturers as part of the deal.

So that means Kasey ran the 2009 season in a Dodge, switched to a Ford for 2010 as part of RPM's change-over, will be in a Toyota for 2011 with Red Bull, and then lands in a Chevy for 2012 with Hendrick.

I'll bet he's happy that with the COT they all handle the same.
