David Pearson... greatest driver of all time, just wish my Grandfather that passed away this year would have been able to see today.  He and David were good friends... Can't wait for May 2011.  Me and my entire family will be there for David.  He has been such good friend to us.  Love the way David talks to my son patrick who is 9.  My son loves David and Cotton Owens.... He knows who they are and what they mean...  And by the way David, I'm gonna win Nascar.com Fantasy Racing this year for you.... Not gonna let you down this year.

I was mostly pleased with this year's class, though I would have voted Glen Wood over Bud Moore, and possibly put Ned Jarrett on hold for a year to get Cale in with this class.  With only 10 members and 60 years of history, we're still at the point where some giants of the sport are stuck on the waiting list.

Yeah.. I think many of the "old-timers" who are on the voting board are kind of holding off on putting in Yarborough.
NASCAR was very good to Cale, and he benefited greatly from his racing.
But when Cale left CUP racing he turned his back on NASCAR.  He never does any type of appearance without charging some type of fee.... so he has the "it's all about me" attitude.
When you are successful in your area, IMO It's suppose to be about giving back to people that made you successful.
IMO I think thats Cales main reason he didn't get in this year... and MAY NOT next year either.
I still have a decent list of people I'd put in ahead of Cale anyway.

Someone that won't probably ever get in.... (but certainly deserves it) is Janet Guthrie.  She was a pioneer, drove sub-par equipment and was still able to be competitive.  She blazed the trail for current women drivers in all types of motor sports.  I'm not saying she deserves to get in on the next ballot,.. but certainly deserves to be in as much as anyone.
As Mentioned the wood brothers deserve to be in,.. and does Raymond Parks, and I'd also say Red Byron needs to be inducted ASAP.  If the first CUP series champ doesn't deserve to be.. who does?
Just drivers alone I'd also add in Joe Weatherly, Herb Thomas, Tim Flock, and Buck Baker (all had two championships)
