Good racing, awesome finish, a pit crew gets benched and the Mayor takes out Gordon, who then starts a fight.
Gossage is the happiest man in America right now.

yep.. and that was wrong, wrong, wrong..
ONLY penalties that involve parking a driver during a race is for "on-track" (like rough driving, or not following an order from NASCAR)... never, never, never has NASCAR penalized a driver for anything with the officials DURING the race.
(set aside Harvick when almost run over a NASCAR official during a NNS race back several years ago. In the long run he was still park for not following orders from NASCAR
Countless times we have say pit crew chiefs, and members cuss at / argue with officials.
"Unsportsmanlike Conduct"... gee when did we write this in... OH yeah I know.. the double secret - Kyle Busch rule.
Sounded like a good as excuse as any for NASCAR at the time I suppose..??
I'm not siding with Busch... but all penalties of this type have always been issued on TUESDAY... in the form of a points penalty, or a monetary fine. (I know several have been fined etc for cussing, etc.. but NEVER during the race.)
I was really hoping that there would be a bunch of yellows the last 1/2 of the race, and Busch would get back on the lead lap... A WIN would of been SWEET so he could stick it up NASCAR's @$$ in the TV interview.
Just goes to show there is no refuting that "NASCAR just makes it up as they go along"... and then the figure the fans are too stupid to figure out what is going on..
I'm like many others.. I think may days of following NASCAR are quickly coming to an end.

I can scarcely believe I'm defending Kryle-baby, but I agree with you guys.
The original penalty for speeding off pit road was justified, it was just putting him back where he would have been had he not sped to avoid falling a lap down.
The two lap hold, though, for showing the official who's number one...
that should not have been an in-race penalty. Lighten his wallet on Tuesday, if it makes NASCAR feel better. Even a points penalty for that offense is bordering on stupid, IMHO.
If his conduct is embarassing, he should hear it in the form of a little sit down with a rep from M&M Mars.
The Brain needs to clarify what he meant by "have at it." Flip another driver off? Flip an official off? Flip an official off, but only when the in-car camera isn't on? I don't understand where the limit is, and obviously I'm not alone.

See I can't go along with that either...
Here's the doubled-sided part of that theory...
USED to NASCAR didn't like it when drivers cussed on their own team radio, and it accidently got played live on air...
So they had to do away with fining drivers mostly because it is "their" radio frequency, and it's up to TV / Radio if they decide to take the chance and air it. NOT the DRIVERS fault. He never knows when the TV / audio is on and when it isn't.
SO now we have the video equivilent of it... same exact thing.. only instead of saying something he flipped a bird.
Just like no penalties for eaves-dropping and hearing cuss words.. there should be NO penalty for seeing a bird flown.
Plain and simple.. NASCAR don't like it because Busch is outspoken, and he often stinks up the NNS and CTS shows.
SO they tell them they don't want "vanilla" drivers... and when someone shows some personality.. they get screwed... yah go figure.
Great BIG thanks to NASCAR for making our sport (oh err entertainment) what it is today..... worse and worse all the time..
I don't know whats makes me madder. NASCARs actions and their "Make it up as you go along" rules... or they think people are to STUPID to figure out what is going on..??

Wasn't Kryle screaming on the radio about NASCAR denying him his freedom of speech? LOL. Now he's a lawyer.

Sorry , a little late with response to this thread lol. Been rather busy Hunting the elusive Canadian Moose . Not being much of a Kyle the Puke Busch Fan ( probably one of the worst kept secrets on the forum ) , I find it hard to believe that I'am in agreement with Chris , Code Blue and Scott B , in that Kyle had every right to vent his frustrations . If Nascar allows selective TV Play (in car) then Freedom of Expression is still valid . As for the speeding on Pit Road Guilty as charged no contest .
P.S. As for the elusive Canadian Moose , Ty - 2 Moose - 0 ...Who Says Getting Older is a Bad Thing lol ! Hey got to see if I still have BB better halfs Address for Moose Jerky Delivery lol .
